The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
Crazy days for me. I had my endoscopy and colonoscopy on Friday. The day before was the nasty prep. Everything is fine. During the endoscopy they found acid reflux, which I knew I had, and pretty much have decided that is the cause of my chronic cough which I've had for the last three years. Everybody kept chalking it up to allergies, but the gastro doctor realized it was acid reflux. So he has me on an antacid twice a day. It seems to be working so far. Because of my medical angst, I got behind on my email and blogging so I'm spending today catching up.
I only finished one book this week. I had a hard time concentrating. I was better off watching TV, so I caught up on my TV shows. I also started watching Criminal Minds from the beginning. I watched years ago but it was so long ago that it felt like I was watching a new show. It's so good. They are doing a new mini-series of it around Thanksgiving.
Now that my medical stuff and my cruise are over, I can concentrate on other things. My husband has to have a hernia operation in a couple of weeks. There's always something lately.
So how have you all been? Anything new going on in your world? Hope everyone has a great week!
Good luck on your husband's surgery. Colonoscopies don't sound fun. I haven't had one yet but am told I should get one a little earlier than normal since my mom had colon cancer. Guess I should do that.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of that Unger book.
Glad to hear that your medical issues have an answer and a solution. The prep for those tests is the worst. Glad that is over for you, too.
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Salon post
Secluded Cabin sounds like one of those delicious 'closed room' type mysteries that are popular right now - I have it on my TBR already because I do enjoy those kinds if they're well written. Looking forward to your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHope you find time to read a good book this week.

Glad you got good results from your tests and hopefully your cough is gone. But the prep is never fun!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad things went well for you, and I hope the antacid improves things.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
It must be great to have all those procedures over and done with!
ReplyDeletebest… mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Hope this week will be a great one and glad that all they found was acid reflux and not something worse.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!

Week in Review
I really struggle with acid reflux. Its real bad when family members go out of town, and I think its because I tend to overdo it on caffeine when I get anxious. I will look out for a few of those books.
ReplyDeleteGlad everything went well and they found the acid reflux. It's a pain living with it but once you identify your triggers it makes it so much easier and manageable. Good luck catching up with everything. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteHow nerve-wracking for you and I hope that you continue to be ok on the tablets. I hope your husband is ok.
ReplyDeleteA good load of books there.
Have a great week ahead.

Glad your tests went well and you got some answers. My hubby' s hernia surgery is this week. XO
ReplyDeleteI am the same way with anxiety, especially when it comes to medical issues and procedures. I'm glad everything is fine and you're feeling better. I hope your husband's surgery goes smoothly. You sure have had a lot going on, but hopefully you'll begin the new year with all of it behind you. Have a wonderful week! :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope the antacids help, and I hope your husband's surgery goes well. Have a great week! Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your medical issues are resolved and now your mind can move on to more enjoyable things..well, after your husband's surgery, of course!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your tests went well!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear you came through the procedures well. Yes the day before is not pleasant. Now your mind can relax!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the prep for the testing is as bad as the tests themselves. I'm glad your tests went well. It's interesting that the doctor thinks it's your acid reflux that is causing the chronic cough. I've never heard that before now.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, now that the testing is over and your cruise is over, you can get back to reading.
Your books look good! I am eager to get my hands on Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six.
ReplyDeleteI also HATE the colonoscopy prep!
Glad all is fine with you. Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Glad that your medical tests are over and yielded a treatment plan. You have some nice looking books waiting for you. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to read that everything health wise seems to be ok. Hope next week is calmer for you.
