The Weekend Review - October 28th-30th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Can you believe it's the end of October and Halloween is almost here?  I don't know where the time goes, but here we are with only two more months left in the year.  I'm still waiting for the results of my CT scan, so nothing new to report about that.

Since it's almost November, I've been thinking about the 2024 reading challenges that I host every year.  I will, once again, host them all in 2024.  I'll post the sign ups in November at some point.  The challenges I host are...

Cruisin' thru the Cozies Reading Challenge
What An Animal Reading Challenge
The Purrfect Reading Challenge
NetGalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge

My reading changes from week to week.  This week I only finished one book.  I may not be reading many books, but I'm really enjoying the ones I have read.  I'm not watching much TV.  Mainly nothing has really interested me except Survivor.  That's still good.  Also, Transplant.

I hope you all have a good week.  Happy Halloween!

Blog Tours/Spotlights/Reviews/Giveaways Coming Up Next Week

Wednesday:  Spotlight:  Flipping the Record by Heather J. Bennett

Posts last week:

Nothing this week!

I'm currently reading...

I finished reading ...

This is my line up for the rest of October.  No way I'll finish these in the next couple of days so I, once again, will have some carryovers into November.

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  4. Survivor and The Amazing Race are the only shows I've been watching too. For some reason, I never get sick of them.

  5. Yes... I'm sure they devalued Time when we weren't all looking. Months and years used to take a decent amount of time, back in the day. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer for your results, Yvonne.

  6. Hopefully the fact that you haven't received your results yet means that it's good news. I'm glad you're enjoying what you read. That's much more important than quantity. Have a great week! :)

  8. Hope you hear back from your CT scan soon. It's so hard to believe that November is almost here. I am already reading for spring to get here, I am not a cold fan. I need a warmer place!

Have a great week and happy reading!
