The Weekend Review - December 14th-December 16th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Nothing exciting happened this week.  Just the usual stuff, but that's okay with me.

I finished two books this week.  I'm hoping to read a few more to complete a couple of reading challenges, but we'll see how far I get.  I still don't think I'll complete my Goodreads challenge this year but that's okay.  I'll just try again next year.  I pretty much signed up for all the challenges I wanted to participate in for 2025 already, but there might still be a couple that I haven't seen posted yet.

The fall TV season is coming to an end.  Survivor will end this week.  I can't believe Blue Bloods came to an end forever.  It was always such a good show.  They could have gone longer if CBS would have let them.  Anyway, with the TV season ending, I should have more reading time.

I hope you all have a great week!

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. I won’t meet my Goodreads goal either, but as you say there’s always next year.

  2. Now that TV season is over, I hope that you get a chance to read more! I think it's fine if I don't complete a challenge. The fun is in the attempting not in the completion.

  4. This has been a nice time so far this month to read what I want but I need to get back to some early Jan ARCs now. It was a weird year for challenges.

  5. I just started GoodReads with the blog so I keep having to increase my number. I read more than I thought. You have an couple of states in the titles, is that part of a challenge?

    1. Murder in Michigan is for the Literary Escapes challenge. I know I'm not going to finish that challenge, but I haven't read a book in Michigan yet.

  6. Tastes Like Murder sounded good, so I've got it reserved at the library. So many good books I hear about that the library doesn't carry. Happy Holidays!

  7. The Year the Cat Saved Christmas looks good. XO

  8. I also won't finish my Goodreads challenge. But it's been a heckuva year, and I've enjoyed reading lots of books. Good enough :) That Murder in Michigan book looks interesting. I like reading books in/about my state, of course.

  9. Weeks with nothing exciting going on are so welcome, we get enough "excitement" around here in the form of, well, let's not say and jinx it, right?

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
