My Review
Andrea Chase is busy trying to make a success of the bookstore she opened with money she inherited from her great-aunt. Besides the money, she also inherited her great-aunt’s psychic African parrot, Bob.
Andrea quickly makes a new life for herself. She befriends a handsome deputy and suddenly finds herself with a second career - amateur sleuth. Bob is happy to assist her with her new job.
When the whole town goes to the annual oyster fair, Andrea notices a judge getting into many arguments with different townspeople. It’s surprising since he’s known as being liked by everyone. When he turns up dead, Andrea knows that’s not true at all. She and Bob are on the case.
It’s a fun cozy with a town filled with eccentric characters. They will make you laugh. It’s easy to suspect all of them as murderers. The star of the book is Bob the Parrot. He says the funniest things, but he's also a very helpful sleuth.
This is a quick read. I really enjoyed getting to know the town and its people. I’ll definitely be back for another visit!
