This week I'm reading...


I jerked the dressing room curtains closed, swallowed, then swallowed again. The lump in my throat wouldn't go away. I opened my mouth to speak, but I was at a loss for one of my usual, Eve Appel, sassy gal retorts - the ones I generally have on hand to fend off difficult situations. What's the protocol for a dead body showing up on the opening day of business?
