Sunday/Monday Posts - November 22nd and 23rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

It's amazing but we're only a few days away from Thanksgiving in the U.S.  It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving yet, but it's just about here.

I've been trying to play catch up this week.  Both my TV shows and my books have been piling up, but I'm making headway.  Most of the TV shows will be off until after the new year, so that might help. Anyone watch How To Get Away With Murder and Scandal?  Good winter finales, but very confusing (especially HTGAWM). Now we wait until February for new episodes.

I didn't participate in many memes this week, but I  had a few blog tours.

I'm getting ready for the 2016 reading challenges.  I will once again be hosting the Cruisin' thru the Cozies and What An Animal Reading Challenges.  I'm looking forward to those.  If you want to join either one, the links are below.  I haven't decided what other ones I'll be joining yet, but I won't be doing nearly as many as I used to.

Other than that, a pretty quiet week here.  What's been going on in your world?

Yvonne

  1. Words with Fiends sounds interesting just from the title. I wonder if the series is all named after games?

  2. Words with Fiends looks like a good one...great cover and title.

I was also a little confused about HTGAWM's finale...and didn't the finales come awfully fast on these Thursday shows?

That one I've always had to watch closely, as they keep going back and forth in time, but this last one was worse than others. Of course, I'm eager for the shows to resume.

I also watch Grey's Anatomy as part of the Thursday lineup, and that had an interesting finale, too.

Enjoy your week...and your Thanksgiving. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  3. A Pain in the Tuchis made me laugh. Just when my DVR was getting full I noticed the mid season finales were on. Thank goodness I need the time to catch up!

  4. Ooo, Words with Friends looks fun and your next few books look good too.

HTGAWM *was* confusing. I didn't realize it was taking a break. That'll let me try out some of the new shows on NetFlix, yay!

Happy Thanksgiving and have a good week!

  6. Wow Yvonne, you did have a lot of blog tours to cater for last week!

Are the shows in a mid season hiatus there or has the season finished? I always wonder because I thought new shows just started in (your) Fall?

    1. It used to be the shows started in fall and ended in spring. Now, they start in fall and end in November, then start up sometime after the Christmas holidays.

  8. I agree, both of those winter finales are confusing. These winter finales drive me nuts! But, like you said, it will help to get caught up on the other shows. Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving.

  11. I don't watch a lot of TV, have the first season of Scandal to watch on DVD though. I tend to pick up a book before I press a TV remote! Looks like some great Cozy reading!
