Sunday/Monday Posts - January 14th and 15th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

It's hard to believe but we are already half way through January.  We went from single digit temperatures to a heatwave at almost 60.  Now we're in the 30's.  The weather is all over the place for everyone these days.

I'm not doing very well as far as reading goes.  I don't know why.  I just never seem to have enough reading time.  I have been listening to audios again.  They really help my commute to and from work.  It helps de-stress me.

I'm even behind on some of my TV, but I've watched some shows.  I'm so happy This Is Us is back.  It's such a good show.  I, also, started watching the new show 911 and that's pretty good.

Not much else going on around here. Hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  2. My reading seems to be okay, so far. Sometimes it is hard to find the time with my son's ROTC events and my daughters homeschooling. But, I carry my Kindle pretty much everywhere, so if I have a little bit of time, I can read a little. Hope you enjoy the new books.

  3. I'm also having a rough time with reading, but that's because I'm currently reading The Martian and it's taking me some time reading through it. I hope you have a lovely week!

  5. Yvonne, my own reading has been slow but steady. It sounds like you're enjoying audio books and new shows. The winter weather back east has been erratic. I'm glad it has warmed up. Have a great week ahead!

  6. I've got some of these lovely cozies to read too. They are perfect for snuggling up with a hot cuppa tea. Especially with the crazy weather everyone is experiencing. Happy reading and stay toasty!

  10. I had a bad reading week myself. I love the Agatha Raisin books (though I'm way behind in the series).

  11. Coming from.the tropics when I see the erratic cold temperatures all over the place I realise I shouldn't complain. I dislike the heat and humidity and am always grumbling.

  12. I hope you have a chance to get some reading done soon. It's so disappointing when life gets too busy for reading.
I really need to start watching This is Us. Everyone I know is raving about it!

  15. Last week we had a few good days of rain (with unfortunate consequences south of here) but the reality is, we're behind on the rain that we need. Come see what I'm reading.

  16. The Agatha Raisin books look really fun. I've read a few but would love to read the whole series. Audio may be the way to go. We actually have snow on the ground here - I mean not much but still - and I'm not happy about it! I want warmer temperatures soon. I hope your reading picks up and you have a great week!
