Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, now being hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

This week I'm reading...




First Chapter...

Poppy frantically banged on the door of the house, but there was no answer. She waited a few moments and then tried again.

Still no answer.

A foreboding sense of dread filled her entire body. She had learned at a very young age to trust her intuition.

And she instinctively knew something was seriously wrong.


Teaser...

She had never felt such a strong sense of imminent danger.

    I get that same feeling when knocking on doors...I used to get that feeling a lot when "cold calling" on clients. It's never a good thing when nobody answers the door!

    The cover is perfect for the opening. I'm thinking maybe the sign being crooked might represent her sense of something wrong.
