Sunday/Monday Posts - August 19th and 20th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I don't know about everyone else, but our weather in New York continues to be hot and humid with quite a bit of rain.  It feels swampy out there.  Thank goodness for my a/c.

Since it's too humid out there, I've been inside most of the time.  That has given me a chance to do quite a bit of reading as well as continuing to clear stuff out of here in my downsizing project.  I finished three books this week which is alot for me.

I even managed to keep my blog hopping every day this past week.  I always seemed to have a post of some sort going on.

I really can't believe Labor Day is almost here.  It really boggles my mind how fast this summer went.  Well, there are still a couple of weeks left in August.

I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!

I'm finished reading...

Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

These books are coming up for reviews/blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. I'm sorry your weather has been so miserable. It's been a hot summer here, too, and that never bodes well for hurricane season which really gets underway soon.

Plenty of time for reading, though, if you can stand to do so in the heat!

  2. Loving your haul and yes Labor Day is coming much to quickly. Sorry about the swampy weather. It has hot here Friday, but rain has cooled things again

  3. As I think about all your packing for downsizing, I moan a little, since I did mine in the heat of the summer, too...eleven years ago. Now I'm due for some more purges.

Enjoy those books. K Street Killing looks very tempting.

Stabbed in Baklava reminds me of how much I enjoy baklava...LOL.

Thanks for sharing, and have a great week. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  4. So many ones with cats on the cover, I want to read all those :)

  5. It has been the same for us in Texas. Hot, humid, raining. :(

  6. Yuck. Swampy. That’s no fun. I agree that this year has gone way too fast. I had so many plans, and they mostly fell apart. I need to find something interesting to do before the year ends. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  7. We're having the same weather and being indoors so much I've went through a slew of books. Now to get to work writing all those reviews! LOL Witchnapped looks so fun.

    My Sunday Post

  8. So many fun looking reads. Hope you enjoy them all.

Ahh yeah swampy is the default here from May until October. lol

  9. I have A Crafter Knits a Clue on my stack too. I liked Read and Gone and hope you do too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  10. I love that Stabbed In The Baklava title! Brilliant!

  11. No rain here until probably October. But there's a nice onshore breeze. My weekly updates

  12. We've got the crazy humidity here too. I'm slowly getting to the point where winter doesn't seem like to awful of an idea but I'm not there yet! I love the title for Stabbed in the Baklava and that's a series I've been wanting to read. Have a great week!

  13. I really want to read "Not Her Daughter" - it sounds so good! Thanks for the review.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
