The Weekend Review - November 28th-30th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Hi Everyone!

For those who celebrated Thanksgiving this week, I hope you all had a healthy and safe holiday.  My husband and I had a quiet dinner together.

I set up the three reading challenges I host each year.  The links to sign up are on my side bar for those interested in joining.  I have to decide which ones, hosted by others, I will be joining but I'll join a couple.  Not many, though.

I want to thank Ann from Our Rainbow Friends for creating the badges for Cookie and Trudy on my sidebar.  Aren't they beautiful?  I miss those girls so much.

I started to binge American Horror Story 1984 on Netflix.  I watched the first couple of seasons of AHS.  The first season was good, but then it just got so crazy that we stopped watching.  Then we saw the 1984 season and decided to give it a try.  I think it's been really good.  We only have two more episodes left to watch.  It went quickly.

As far as reading goes, I only finished one book this week but it was a good one and it featured a cat.  What could be better?

So, what has your week been like?  I hope you all have a great week!

  3. I'm currently watching AHS 1984 as well. I've seen the first two episodes but I love it already! I think the Asylum's and Witches season are the best :) The Hotel is great too, but mainly because of the crazy rol that Lady Gaga plays!

  12. I'm happy to see that you have gotten your challenges posted for 2021. Wonderful. I passed along one of your challenges to a friend that I know will love it.

We also had a quiet Thanksgiving. Not a normal Thanksgiving, but it was actually quite nice.

If you can only finish one book, then let it be a cat book. I can't think of anything more purrfect right now than reading cat books.

    Have a lovely week!

  16. TELL TAIL HEART, what a cute play on words. Did it give a nod to Poe?

I am just emerging from my politic hangover and looking toward 2021 with hope. My Sunday Post

  20. I used to watch AHS, but I didn’t love any of the seasons, so I stopped. The first few episodes of each season are usually good, but then they get convoluted and weird. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!
