The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
Happy 4th of July weekend to all who celebrate! We're planning to go to a BBQ on Monday with friends.
I only finished one book this week but it was a good one. I did my half-year evaluation on my challenges and I think they are all still doable. Here's what I have left...
Alphabet Soup: I've read 19 and still need 7 books.
Literary Escapes: I've read 15 and still need 36 (This one is iffy, but I do love participating in it.)
Craving for the Cozies: I've read 15 and still need 10 more books.
Cloak & Dagger: I've read 24 and only need 1 more book.
The Backlist Reader: I've read 4 and still need 8 more books.
European Reading Challenge: I've read 1 and still need 4 more.
Audio Books Challenge: I've read 4 and only need 1 more.
Cruisin' thru the Cozies: I've read 9 and still need 11
What an Animal Reading Challenge: I've read 6 and still need to read 6 more.
The Purrfect Reading Challenge: I've read 6 and still need 4.
The NetGalley & Edelweiss Challenge: I've read 17 and still need 8.
The last 4 are challenges I host so I better get busy. LOL I still have many books to read but some of these challenges overlap so I'm not very concerned. Actually, I'm never concerned about finishing the challenges. I just like to participate and host them. 😀
As for what I've been watching, I've been watching Evil and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. I'm pretty up to date with them.
That's my week in a nutshell. How was your week? I hope everyone has a great week!
New follower - I would like to suggest Shifting and Shenanigans for your next read out of your options. As a fellow cat lover, I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy to have found your blog! Your rating system is the cat's meow.
I liked Clouds in my Coffee. I need to get caught up on that series. The veronica bond book looks good too.
ReplyDeleteI should do the Cloak and Dagger again. that was fun the year I did it.
Have a great 4th of July!
I just read Clouds in My Coffee a couple of months ago. Hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI should look at some of my challenges to see how I am doing. But I always aim low and overshoot, so I'm not that worried about it.
Happy 4th! BBQ with friends sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love that cover for Th Edge of Summer! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou have done a fantastic job with your challenges this year. I'm impressed with how many you decided to take on, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will read The Littlest Library or In Her Boots next. I'm most curious about those.
So many reading challenges! I do Goodreads. Maybe next year I will what else is out there!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

So many tempting titles! I need to read more from Julie Mulhern. Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great on your challenges, I wouldn't be concerned either! Enjoy your 4th!
ReplyDeleteGreat stacks! Whiteout sounds appealing to me - I hate the cold and snow so it seems a perfect place for murder and mayhem and disaster!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading this week.

Congrats on making such good progress with your goals. I've done really well with my goals too. I actually accomplished my Goodreads goal last night. I'm really excited by how much I'm reading.

Love the cover of In Her Boots. I've been doing horrible with my challenges this year. Ugh. Hope you have a good week!

It looks like you're in pretty good shape with your challenges. I just got my June wrap-up done, so the next task is a midyear checkup. I've enjoyed several of the Julie Mulhern books... think Clouds in My Coffee is was the last, so I should look for book 4. Enjoy your cookout tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI think of all my challenges I am the furthest behind on Literary Escapes too. I planned the books I was wanting to read for it but I'm still struggling! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are making a lot of progress on the challenges. I am looking forward to starting that Star Trek series. We just got caught up on Mrs. Maisel. XO
ReplyDeleteI need to catch up with Evil, but my husband has really been enjoying Strange New Worlds. He says it is the one that is most like the original Star Trek. Have a great week! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice balanced week. I really enjoyed The Edge of Summer, especially the sense of place.
ReplyDeleteSo many challenges! How do you keep track? I know I couldn't even though I consider myself an organized person. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteFun cover for Clouds in my Coffee. Happy reading.
