The Weekend Review - May 25th-27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

For all those honoring Memorial Day this weekend, I hope you are having a great long holiday weekend.  I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I had a busy blog week, but I only read one book this week.  It was a good one, though.  With most of my TV shows ending last week, I'll have more reading time.  This coming week I have one more episode of 911 to watch and then the regular TV season ends for me.  I do have two shows to watch this summer on Paramount +.  I have the new Criminal Minds and Evil.  It still gives me more reading time.

It's been a pretty quiet and hot week here.  I expect next week will be more of the same.  I hope you all have a great week.

Posts last week:

I'm currently reading...

I finished reading ...

These are the books I still have scheduled to read in May.  No way will I finish these, but I'll carry them over to June. Plus, I have some June books to add too.  Yikes!

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  2. Yes... there isn't much on the TV here, either. Though I did enjoy the coverage from the Chelsea Flower Show. But it does give more reading time! Have a great week, Yvonne.

  5. I'm glad you had a good blog week even though you only finished one book. I hope you get to read more books now that your shows are ending!

  6. Shows ending are so bittersweet. I watch more Asian dramas than Western ones, so they're usually only a season long, and I still get separation anxiety after. 😂 Have a great week!

  9. A busy week! Good looking books there. I can't believe how little we have left of May.

Have a lovely long weekend. My son (and partner as he is a teacher) are on school holidays now so I won't have much reading time!

    Have a great weekend!
