The Weekend Review - May 4th-6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Well, April is behind us and we are now in our first week of May.  As always, time is flying.  The weather in Florida has been really beautiful.  I had a chance to go back to walking, but only once this week.  Sometimes it can still be too hot.

I finished two books this week.  Both were good ones.  I just started the new Mary Kay Andrews' book and I'm enjoying it.  I always love her books, so I was happy to see a new one.  I decided I'm ready for beach reads :)

I've been keeping up with all my TV shows.  The season is winding down which is going to leave me more time to read.  I'm looking forward to that.

Not much is going on around here.  It has been pretty quiet around here which is how I like it :) I hope you all have a great week!

These are the books I hope to read in May.  A couple are carryovers from April that I'm going to try and squeeze in.

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. I'm not watching too much right now, but I am also looking at the end of the TV season coming up as a chance to read more. And watch some of the shows I have on DVD that I pull out and watch in the summer. So we'll see if I have more reading time or not.

Quickly going past the kindle freebies as you always pick enticing looking ones!!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

  5. I can't wait to read Summers at the Saint. I pre-ordered it.

You have lots of great books ahead.

I think I need to order a new Kindle, as both of mine tend to "glitch" at times.. Sigh

  10. Quiet sounds great. It will be a question of how hot it gets now for outdoor tasks but even more so in July and August. Happy reading!
