Monday Musings

Monday Musings
Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about new authors…
What is your policy when it comes to new authors? Do you feel comfortable purchasing a book or do you prefer to borrow new authors from the library? How often do you 'try out' a new author?
My answer:
For me, the bottom line is the story. Regardless if it's a new author or not, if I like the storyline, I'll buy the author. Also, if I get recommendations, I'll try a new author. I don't mind purchasing the book. Sometimes you "discover" some real gems among new authors. I know I have.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

Thank you so much! I'm honored to receive this!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you -- the key is the story -- not the author. You never know what gems you might uncover if you don't try new things!
ReplyDeleteI agree, what matters is the story. I'm not wary of new authors either.
