April has arrived with rain, but the temperatures are warmer. Hopefully, the temps will keep getting warmer and the rain will go away. The baseball season begins and I’m excited. I already have tickets for a game at new Yankee Stadium next month and I’m very excited.
As for the endings, I had to make mention of the end of the TV show ER. It lasted an amazing 15 years. I watched it since day one in 1994. The show has had its ups and downs, losing many cast members but I was faithful and hung in there. Although it’s sad to see the show go, it had a good run and I think it was time to close the doors at County General. I’ll still miss it though.
Now, what did I read this week? It hasn’t been a very good reading week for me. I started Even Cat Sitters Get the Blues by Blaize Clement. The book is great, but I haven’t been able to make enough time for getting any reading done. Hopefully tonight and tomorrow I will have more time. This is a cozy mystery and I love the heroine. It’s part of a series “The Dixie Hemingway Mysteries”. I think it might be my favorite book of the series. I just wish I could make more time for reading. Maybe it would help if I stayed away from the computer for a bit. LOL

I'm excited about baseball season starting too. :-) I don't know that we'll get to go too often this spring and summer, but I at least know we'll be going to a game on my birthday this year--that's not until September though.
ReplyDeleteI've been having difficulty getting any reading done lately too. Hopefully this next week will be better.
I hope you have a great week, Yvonne!
Happy Sunday :D

I love how everyone in America gets so enthusiastic about baseball and everyone goes to watch it. Over here we have football, but it is not the same. One day I intend to go to a baseball match, just for the experience.
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited about the baseball season. We usually only go once or twice a year to a game. The tickets we have for next month is our wedding anniversary...22 years.
ReplyDeleteWow, 2 awards! Thank you both! I'll check them out.
Baseball! Jim & I went to a spring training game, and I'm sure we'll get to one or two games during the season. We're less than half an hour from the Diamondbacks, so we usually see National League games.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was one of the better Dixie Hemingway books. I love that series. Like you, Yvonne, I like the main character, and her brother and his partner.
