Release Date: January 2011
Format: Mass Market Paperback
Single mom, Lizzie Campbell, is a hardworking waitress trying to teacher teenage daughter, Paige, to be independent and not count on a man to help her out. Paige’s dad hasn’t played any part in her life and now suddenly wants to pay a visit. The teenager is convinced her dad is a knight in shining armor and will take her away from the life she currently knows – the one with no money and working hard for everything. Paige is sure a wealthy, happy life is coming her way. Lizzie knows better, but she can’t convince her daughter.
Lizzie confides in her friends at the “Enemies Club” – a group of women who started out hating each other but now are friends sharing everything. She tells them she wishes for a man who would come to her house, fix everything that needs fixing, and then quietly leave. No complications, no attachments. That way, when Paige’s dad arrives, he won’t think they are pathetic women needing saving.
Tay Giovanni has some inner demons of his own to work out, but when he overhears Lizzie’s wish, he decides to be her knight in shining armor. Unfortunately for him, Lizzie isn’t too receptive of the stranger who is suddenly fixing her broken fences and lights. In fact, she’s scared he might be a stalker.
With everyone encouraging her to give the guy a chance, Lizzie lets down her guard and gets close to Tay. However, Tay can’t forget his past and plans to leave town as soon as he can get away.
This is the story of two people who have a hard time breaking away from the problems of their past and cannot seem to move forward with their lives. Both characters are realistic people facing realistic problems. Readers can really connect with them and come to care for them as they read through this one. It’s easy to cheer for them to overcome their problems and beat all the obstacles in their way. It’s a fast-paced read and leaves you with a “feel good” type of feeling. I highly recommend this one.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
