If you'd like to play along on Teaser Tuesdays, just click the button above.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week I'm reading...
'In a book, as you well know, you can take a chapter just to let the reader discover what your character is thinking. But on the screen it has to happen in an instant. So when you translate a book to the screen, you have to find ways to make those important inner moments come to life visually.'
I love your Teaser, and I'm sure it must be true. I'm curious to find out who's talking in your Teaser.
ReplyDeleteMine is from GOODBYE EMILY.
Definitely some truth to that teaser, and probably why so many film adaptations fail to live up to the books upon which they are based. My teaser: A Wallflower Christmas
ReplyDeleteInteresting. It must be hard to try to make a book character come alive on screen and still have the reader fans enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHere's my teaser.
Now that is the type of teaser to make me think.

Interesting teaser! My teaser come from Full Moon by P.G. Wodehouse.
ReplyDeleteYes, I want to know more about this one...and since I'm a big fan of movies for that very reason (the visual images), I'm curious to know more about the story.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY TUESDAY MEMES POST
So true! I think I'll have to check this one out. Thanks for sharing!

How true that is!
ReplyDeleteExactly! Otherwise, the movie isn't as good as the book, and we all know how often that happens...
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser!
My TT post
That is so very true! Readers have expectations visually!
ReplyDeleteVery nice teaser!
