The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Hello Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. It's freezing here, but at least the snow didn't accumulate too much. Although, the small amount we have has iced up because it's so cold. Makes walking and driving a bit hazardous to say the least, but it is winter after all :)
As the new year starts, things start getting busier on the blog. That's okay, though. Nothing I can't handle so far. LOL I have to laugh when I do my Sunday posts and look back on the previous post, I check to see what I said I'd be reading next - often it's not what I ended up reading. That's what happened this week. I decided to read A Killer Retreat. It's the second book in the series and it's good so far. I finished Amy Poehler's audio book, which was alot of fun. I haven't decided yet what will be my next audio book. I have to go with these lighter type books for audio. More intense books just don't seem to work for me as far as listening goes.
It's been pretty quiet here, which is a good thing. Excitement is definitely not needed :) The TV season is starting to get into full swing again so I'll be dividing my time between my returning shows and my reading. Two of my favorite things :)
I hope everyone has a great week and read many great books!
Yvonne

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?
Yay for returning shows
ReplyDeleteSnow...oh boy! It's been cold here, but thankfully it hasn't really rained. Hope you enjoy your new books and the returning TV shows.
ReplyDeleteSP & STS
Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
I know what you mean, I often say I'm reading this or that next and then go back and look at older SP's and it's like... well, that didn't happen. :) Hope your reads are good this week, and stay warm. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a kind of springtime here, sun and rather not-cold temperatures, we'll pay for that later ! Have a great week ;)
ReplyDeleteColder than cray cray here. I have my posts planned but not all written nor do I have all their graphics. I was very happy with the return of DA. But I almost forgot it was on tonight!
ReplyDeleteMy post is here: http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/2015/01/sunday-2.html
Yvonne, it's hard to stick to a reading schedule! Your cold weather makes staying inside and reading even more perfect--enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so glad that we don't have snow here, although there have been times when I wished for it. It looks so good...but the after-effects of it, not so much.
ReplyDeleteHope you don't get snowed in...and that you manage the cold. I guess you are used to it by now.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your week. I am curious about Gooseberry Island.
All of your books look great. I've added A Murder in the Arboretum, A Killer Retreat, and Gooseberry Island to my list for some reading challenges. I'll have to break my ban of book buying, but it happens that way sometimes. LOL

Glad to hear you're enjoying A Killer Retreat. I'll be reading it soon for a blog tour next month,

Always a struggle between a good book and a favorite tv show. We DVR everything making it easier. Hope the roads clear up soon. Be safe and stay warm
ReplyDeleteOooh I've been wondering about the Downward Dog series!! Had the first one on my list for a while, just haven't gotten to it yet. Might have to move it up in the list now :)
ReplyDeleteA Killer Retreat looks good. I've been wanting to start that series. I learned the hard way that reading what I'm not in the mood for is not the way to go. I had Yes Please from the library in ebook form but didn't end up reading it. I think the audio might be the way to go for it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one who deviates from their planned reading list. I glad my favorite shows are back too. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteyour Christmas on Mimosa Lane looks great!
ReplyDeleteI do the same. I plan to read x and y but then when the time comes, something new arrives etc and my plans get thrown out of the window. Mostly I don't mind but sometimes it means I keep deferring certain books.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do try to read books in order of upcoming publication date!

Boo for snow. Actually, send some here to CA, but only up in the mountains. Thank you. lol. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWe had a little bit of snow followed by freezing rain, oh joy. At least it was god reading weather.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching my shows on Hulu and NetFlix. Some of the shows took a month-long break for the holidays and it's good to see them back.
Have fun with your shows and books!
The link for Sheila is down so I can't post what I'm reading there. I'm 60% through Barchester Towers by Anthony Trollope. Have never read Trollope before, but Simon from Stuck in a Book spoke so highly of it
