Sunday/Monday Posts: June 28th and 29th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

It's been a relatively quiet week.   The weather goes back and forth between warm and cool, but that's okay. My father is still in the hospital.  Some days are better than others.

Blog stuff:  I've been getting some reading done.  I tried keeping my blog tour schedule light for the summer, but that hasn't worked out well.  I have more than I intended scheduled for July and August.  Plus, I have some author/publisher requested reviews, too.  Also, a ton of NetGalley and Edelweiss ARCs.

TV stuff:  I'm enjoying the summer TV shows like Murder in the First, Wayward Pines and Rizzoli and Isles.  I have Under the Dome and Rookie Blue waiting on my DVR.  I'm looking forward to the new TV show by James Patterson, Zoo.  That looks like a good one.

Other than that, not much else is going on.  I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  3. I've never read an Agatha Raisin book but I did love the TV version of one of the books that was on at Christmas time, it was excellent!

  4. I'm curious about Dotty Dowager, I had it on my list and I saw a review at Overlord Thoughts, she seemed to like it. I'll see what you think of it. Beach Town (I like the premise, reminds me of a fave movie) and Cat Nap look fun too!

    Have a nice week.

  9. I kept my blog tour schedule light this summer. I had gotten so heavily booked the past few months that it feels weird to be able to just pick what I want to read at random. Glad you're enjoying the summer TV. It seems like every time I turn around Victoria Hamilton has another book out and I've yet to read any of them despite owning most of them. So need to fix that!

  11. I enjoy Rizzoli & Isles as well but the TV station playing it here in Oz only seems to play a couple of new episodes at a time and it hasn't been on for ages! I'm looking forward to its return.

And Zoo starts on TV here this week. I'll check it out and hope it's good!

  14. Best laid plans and all that....oops. It happens. Thinking about your father and hoping for the best. I've been Wayward Pines also, more than the books which I read when they came out.

Stay cool and dry, and happy reading!
