The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Happy Weekend!
After a lot of rain last week, we are now having cool fall weather. It feels good :) It also makes me feel like reading :) I only finished two books this week, but they were good ones.
Because of all the review books I have, my idea of reading spooky reads in October isn't working out too well. Although, my main reading genre is mystery/thrillers/suspense and those are kind of spooky so I think they qualify for October reads :)
My TV viewing is getting out of hand as my DVR is getting full. At this point, I think I'd rather be reading than watching, but I'll catch up soon with everything.
Other than that, it's been pretty quiet. Have you read or seen anything good lately? I hope you all have a great week.
Yvonne

The next book I will be reading...
I'm finished reading...
Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.
These books are coming up for reviews/blog tours in the next couple of months:
I totally agree that mystery/thriller novels count as spooky October reads! I loved reading through your update
ReplyDeleteHere's my latest update: https://bookloaner.wordpress.com/2018/10/12/stacking-the-shelves-october-13-2018/
I haven't been stacking up on any seasonal reads! We still have mostly summer weather somehow.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week :)

I only read two books, too, and while I enjoyed them, I am eager to get back to mysteries/thrillers...and I agree, perfect October reads.
ReplyDeleteI am curious about The Au Pair.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I enjoyed Winter Street on audio, so I hope you do as well. Yes I think cozy mysteries are perfect for fall. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the cool weather and your new books. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
It was a great week for reading! Love the Winter series.
ReplyDeleteMurder at Harbor Village looks good. I am loving cooler weather too- time to break out the flannel sheets :)
ReplyDeleteYep. To me a mystery or thriller definitely counts for spooky month. We had a few days of fall weather but I noticed tonight that it was warm and humid again. Looks like back to summer for at least a few days. I'll take it! Enjoy your new reads.
ReplyDeleteI also have trouble taking part in themed readathons. I usually have so many review books on my stack that don't fit the theme. I read a lot of mysteries too which can sometimes be quite creepy. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI need to retry reading Elin Hilderbrand, I think I just had a mismatch the only time I tried. Review books sure get in the way of what you'd like to read. I've really cut back on them.
ReplyDeleteThrillers can definitely be spooky reads! And just about my favorite genre. Hope you enjoy all your reading this week!
ReplyDeleteThe fall weather is pretty amazing. I'm enjoying it a lot this week. Hope you're able to squeeze in a spooky read or two :)
