Teaser Tuesdays - October 4th

If you'd like to play along on Teaser Tuesdays, just click the button above.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week I'm reading...

I moved back to Athena from Houston a few years ago, and after I settled into my late aunt Dottie's house, I made a beeline for the library. To my dismay, I discovered the town had built a new library, a larger facility with little character and no distinguishing features - think 1980s "municipal" bland".

  1. Oh, I hate when that happens! You're expecting the familiar and get the boring modern!

    I love that book cover, too.

  2. Another book by Miranda James, I need to visit B&N quick. I read one other book by Ms/Mr. James and loved it. Can't wait to read this one.

    I love that cover also.

  4. Well, on the plus side, a bigger library is never a bad thing - too bad they didn't build it with more character, though. Thanks for sharing. If you get a chance, my teaser is here.

  6. Bigger libraries are good...but it's a shame they couldn't keep the character of the old one.

  10. Ah, what a shame! Newer is not always better. Excellent teaser. That cover is adorable. :)

  11. How disappointing. Although sometimes new libraries really are better, I miss the old ones with character.
