Teaser Tuesdays
If you'd like to play along on Teaser Tuesdays, just click the button above.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week I'm reading...
I moved back to Athena from Houston a few years ago, and after I settled into my late aunt Dottie's house, I made a beeline for the library. To my dismay, I discovered the town had built a new library, a larger facility with little character and no distinguishing features - think 1980s "municipal" bland".

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

Oh, I hate when that happens! You're expecting the familiar and get the boring modern!
ReplyDeleteI love that book cover, too.
Here's MY TT POST and
MY WEBSITE
Another book by Miranda James, I need to visit B&N quick. I read one other book by Ms/Mr. James and loved it. Can't wait to read this one.
ReplyDeleteI love that cover also.
Great teaser! Is this a series? I'll have to give it a look -- sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy TT from Cabinet of Curiosities by Preston and Child
Well, on the plus side, a bigger library is never a bad thing - too bad they didn't build it with more character, though. Thanks for sharing. If you get a chance, my teaser is here.
ReplyDeleteHehe I LOVE the cover!
ReplyDeleteCheck out our teaser here! And while your at it don't forget to do a little Trick-or-Treating and enter to win Usher, Inc or grab your copy of Tim O'Rourke's spooky short story Here!!
Bigger libraries are good...but it's a shame they couldn't keep the character of the old one.

Hmm, this sounds interesting! I love the cover of it too. I hope you're enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is from the wonderful and mysterious novel The Night Circus.
Love your teaser!
ReplyDeleteI am out of my reading slump and adding books to my tbr pile!
Here is my Teaser post!
Ah, what a shame! Newer is not always better. Excellent teaser. That cover is adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteHow disappointing. Although sometimes new libraries really are better, I miss the old ones with character.
