Sunday/Monday Posts - July 9th and 10th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

It's been a crazy weather week here, but it hasn't been too humid.  That's always a good thing.  Most days the sun is shining...we did have some rain along the way, but it looks like that's over for now.

Books - I finished two books this week, which is good for me.  I was hoping for three but I don't think I'll complete the third one this week though.  Maybe.  I couldn't stay away from NetGalley and had to get a couple from over there :)  Now, I just want to play catch up and bring my feedback ratio up (famous last words).

Blog stuff - I've been having many tours lately.  A few this past week, but next week is pretty heavily scheduled.  I still have some giveaways going on.  You can check either the giveaway tab on top or the giveaway button in the sidebar to check them out.

TV/Movies - I haven't seen any movies lately, but I've been continuing to binge watch.  I finished Ray Donovan and really liked that.  Now I'll be watching weekly when the new season begins in August.  I finished season 5 of Longmire.  I forgot that I hadn't finished that one.  It's such a good show with the final season coming up in September.  I started watching the new season of Wentworth and I'm enjoying that.  Also, still watching Orange is the New Black.  It's good.  I found a new-to-me show on Netflix called The Fall.  It's about a serial killer with Gillian Anderson playing the detective looking for him.  Apparently it's been around awhile, but I never heard of it before.  There are three seasons and short ones.  The first one only had five episodes and the other two seasons had six each.  So, it's easy to get through them.

For my regular summer TV, I'm enjoying returning shows - Night Shift and Zoo.  There's a new summer show starting this week called Salvation.  I want to check that one out.  The commercials look good.

So, what's happening in your part of the world?  Read or watch anything good this week?  Hope you all have a great week.

Yvonne

  4. Those famous last words resonate with me too. I look at the older than three months list and groan.

  5. I've also finished two books! Gladly, I stayed away from NetGalley, as I was just too busy with work! I know what you mean about the ratio. Mine's been going up, but I can't help the times I randomly go and request a load of books again xD

  11. The Book Shop at Water's Edge is one I want to try, I've read some good reviews. Hehe..yes NetGalley can be dangerous. I am down to 3 books unread and trying to 100% just once. Of course I will probably go wild after that. Hope the ahead proves to be a good reading week.
