Sunday/Monday Posts - July 23rd and 24th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Another week of the summer has gone by and we're already almost in August.  Really unbelievable how time is flying.  Our weather is crazy, like everyone else's I'm sure.  One minute hot and humid, the next it's torrential downpours.  It's feeling very swampy out there lately.

It's much more comfortable being indoors which means more reading time and more TV time with my nice cool a/c running :)  I finished a couple of books this week.  A brand new kitty cozy mystery series, which I loved.  I won't be posting my review until the beginning of August when I'm one of the stops on the blog tour.  I even won a couple of giveaways this week.  I never win anything so this was a nice surprise.

My computer has still been giving me problems this week so I didn't participate in the Friday memes and haven't been commenting on blogs much this week.  Hopefully next week will be better.

I've been busy binge watching House of Cards.  I'm in season 3 and loving this show.  Kevin Spacey is so good.  I'm not sure what will be next on my agenda to watch.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and have a great week!

Yvonne

  4. We are having humid weather with a shower thrown in which does not help at all. Reading going on very well. I don't think I've read so much for a very long time.

  6. Yes, we are having the same weather. This is the most I have read in the summertime, and I'm sure it's because of all of this rain.

  8. It's hot and humid here, too. We had several torrential storms yesterday, but the temperature only dropped into the 80s. I'm with you—thank heaven for air conditioning. I'm not going outside much, either.

There are so many really tempting books coming up. I'm already overcommitted to ARCs, both mystery and other genres, but I find myself eyeing the two knitting mysteries in particular.

  9. Sorry about the computer woes, Yvonne. I finally had to buy a new one. The weather is the same here. Hot and steamy or hot and storming. LOL. Looks like we're reading some of the same books and I've spotted several new ones. And I love Kevin Spacey too. Did you see him in In Te Garden Of Good And Evil. He was amazing. Have a great week.

  10. I really need to get Booker 4 Murder read too. It sounds like such a cute mystery. I agree, in front if the AC is the best place to be. We had torrential downpours Saturday evening and our city street even flooded -which hardly ever happens.

Hope your computer irons itself out. At least you have some good books to read.
