First Chapter, First Paragraph, Tuesday Intros/Teaser Tuesdays - November 24th

It's Tuesday!  It's time to share your excerpts and teasers from books we are currently reading, have read or are planning to read.  So, feel free to join us by sharing the first paragraph or (a few) of a book you are reading or thinking about reading soon.  This meme is guaranteed to increase your TBR :)

Please link your blog post using Mr. Linky below. Make sure the link you enter is the direct link to your Tuesday post, not the main link to your blog. Thank you!

I, also, participate and link up to Teaser Tuesdays.  Here's info about that meme:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, now being hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read

* Open to a random page

* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I got this as a freebie on my Kindle and it looks good.  I hope to read it soon.

First Chapter...

The day was unseasonably warm for autumn, in just the type of way that made me regret wearing my cranberry-colored merino wool sweater.  It looked amazing, but it was all I could do to ignore the sweat gathering in my bra.  The sweater was one of the last surviving remnants from my dead career as a paralegal at a law firm, and I wore it with a mixture of emotions.

Teaser...

I shook my head and walked inside.  There was no doubt that man was a bit of a player, but because he was handsome, he thought he could get away with it.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Free recipes!

A traumatic life event sends Georgie Tanner back to her hometown to start over at thirty-one-years-old and a certified hot mess. Gainesville, Pennsylvania is as American as apple pie, steeped in rich Revolutionary history, Amish settlements, ghost stories, and colonial manors, and Georgie’s new job as a historical tour guide gives her a safe, no pressure place to begin again. Nothing could go wrong in such a sleepy, picturesque little town, right?

Her first guided tour of the Three Maidens’ Manor battle site and museum proves her deathly wrong. When the power goes out mid-commentary, she has enough to handle keeping everyone calm. Until the power returns and she discovers she now has not only six panicked guests, but a mysterious dead guy to deal with.

Which one of them committed murder? And, more importantly, why is she the next target?

What do you think? Would you keep reading?
