The Weekend Review - March 18th-20th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's been another quiet week here.

I finally saw the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.  It was kind of a weird movie.  The acting was great but I had a hard time keeping track of what was going on.  I also watched the final episode of Your Honor.  Great show.  I don't think there is going to be a season 3.  Bryan Cranston is always good in everything he does.

I only finished one book this week.  Maybe I'll have a chance to read more next week.  I'm not sure where all my time goes...probably towards blogging and computer stuff.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and have a great upcoming week!

  1. I didn't see any of the Oscar nominees! Well, except for Top Gun. Hope you're having a nice weekend. :)

  2. EEAAO was just a bit too out there. There are amusing moments, and the acting was great, but overall it just didn't work.

    1. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way about EEAAO. Very strange movie.

  5. Interesting observation about that movie you seen. I actually have a difficult time keeping track of James Bond movies, but I'll still watch em. Another John Wick movie is coming out which I'm looking forward to.

  6. Did Bryan Cranston ever shave off that beard? I had to stop watching because I couldn't look at him with that animal on his face. LOL And I love that actor to death!!! But I just couldn't get past it.

  8. Like Greg, the only Oscar movie I saw was Top Gun. I can sure identify with "where did my time go" when I look back at the week and haven't read or blogged as much as I'd planned. Ah well....
    Have a terrific week.

  10. I didn't see any of the Oscar movies this year! It sounds like opinions on Everything Everywhere all at Once are varied... not sure it's for me. Hope you have a good week.

  11. Love the covers of the books, especially Hurricane Beach which I'll check out. Blogging and computer stuff is definitely a time suck for me.

  12. I haven't been in much of a movie mood lately so have missed all the Oscar nominees for awhile. I do watch plenty of tv and agree that Bryan Cranston never misses! Enjoy your reading and have a great week!

  18. I've been curious about Everything Everywhere. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers sounds intriguing. I'll be interested in seeing what you think.

  20. Everything Everywhere All at Once was recommended to me. It's not typically a movie I would decide on my own to watch, but I might give it a try when it becomes available to borrow from my library. Right now I'm over 100 on the waiting list, so it will be a while. I'm also pretty high on the waiting list for The Fabelmans. And yes, I can certainly relate to "where did my time go"! Have a great week. :-)
