The Weekend Review - March 4th-6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I only finished one book this week.  I'm not sure why I only read one, but I did.  It was a good one too and my favorite kind of cozy mystery - with a cat!

My viewing includes a new season of Survivor, Blue Boods, 911 Lonestar, The Good Doctor, The Blacklist, Young Sheldon, Chicago Med, Fire, PD and my Criminal Minds marathon continues.  I still have the new episode of Fire Country to watch.  Perhaps this is why I only read one book this week. Many of the shows were off during February and came back in March.  It looks like more TV when I write it all out.  Not to mention watching baseball spring training games.  Once the season is in full swing, I'll be watching those (and I have tickets for a spring training game towards the end of the month!)

Oh, I tried another week of Hello Fresh this week because I had a coupon.  I made a delicious Tomato and Balsamic Chicken over spaghetti.  Really good.  I'm not sure how much Hello Fresh I'll be getting since it's expensive to do every week, but I do have some good recipes I can make again.

So, how was your week?  Anything exciting going on?  Hope you all have a great upcoming week!

  2. Spring training does sound like fun. And I haven't read a cozy in what seems like forever

  3. Survivor was crazy this week, wasn't it? I can't remember a season premier that was this off the wall. Usually, it takes a few episodes before we see as much crazy as we got this week.

  4. I'm a slow reader so one book a week is par for the course for me. Enjoy all your cozies!

  7. You watched a lot of stuff! I have pretty much stopped watching new shows and just watch reruns of my favorite older shows. This week it was Columbo. :)

Have a great week and happy reading!

  9. I've got a few shows to watch myself. I love Rachel Mcadams and watched Morning Glory with Harrison Ford. She's got a new movie out soon, so I'll keep my eyes open.

  10. Cozy mysteries are also my favorite, but unfortunately that seems to be the one genre I'm not reading lately. I'm planning to start them again next week after I finish my current reads. Have a great week! :-)

  11. We've been talking about getting tickets to a spring training game, too. Hope we can still do that! The Hello Fresh recipes sound good... think I could use something like that to get my cooking mojo back.

  13. Spring training has me hopeful that spring is indeed on the way. We still have lots of snow and cold in Wisconsin, but that is not unusual. The Hello Fresh recipe sounds really good. Hope you have a good week!

  14. That recipe does sound good. We started watching some new shows -The Company You Keep and True Lies. We seem to have similar tastes in shows so I think you would like them. XO

  15. I miss going to baseball games. We don't do that as often as we used to. I've been keeping up with 911 Lonestar as well. The last episode was intense! You have some great sounding reads coming up! I really want to read the Sutanto book and The Love Wager. To Kill a Mocking Girl sounds good too. I hope you have a great week, Yvonne!

  16. Can see those cats on the cover - the lighthouse cosy I read had a cute cat in it too. Lots of viewing and the recipe sounds delicious.

  17. We love Hello Fresh but only get a box every other week. It's a little pricey that way but I figure we save money on takeout because I'm more likely to cook if I just have to pull a bag out of the refrigerator. I loved Vera Wong but it's a bit more fiction than mystery. I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on it! Have a great week!

  22. My stepson is totally in to baseball this year, and I'm going to try to keep him entertained during games by filling out one of those forms that keeps track of all the hitters. Though I don't know where to get them or how to fill them out, so maybe that's a bad idea. Do you do that?

    1. You probably mean a scorecard. No, I don't fill those out. I just watch the games. I'm sure you can probably find them online. You can find everything online. LOL
