Sunday/Monday Posts - August 2nd and 3rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy August!  Is it really August already?  Wow...it's hard to believe the summer is half over.  Life really does go too fast.

We've been having hot and humid weather.  Most of my days are spent in the a/c, so I haven't really been bothered by it very much.

I'm still not back at doing my regular book memes yet, but I will be soon.  Right now I'm trying to catch up with reviews and I had somehow scheduled myself for way too many blog tours in July.  I'm not sure how that happened.  I have less in August but still a few coming up.

I'm loving my summer shows.  I've really become hooked on The Astronauts Wives Club.  I didn't think I would be but I'm really enjoying it.  Extant is another one that I'm loving these days.  There are quite a few others as well.  I keep trying to cut my TV viewing list but that never seems to work out.

So, what has your week been like?  Read anything good?  See any good TV shows or movies?

Yvonne

  2. I know, August really? Good grief. Summer always flies by, but this is ridiculous. I've been watching Arrow and enjoying it, but that's about it...

It's been hot and humid here too, the dog days of summer weather is now here...

  3. I couldn't get into Extant. I tried but it just didn't catch me. I'm loving some of my old faves - Criminal Minds, Madam Secretary, Elementary etc... kinda boring I realise.

  4. Finding Sky and Fool Me Once look interesting....I am loving some of the TV shows on TNT, like Rizzoli & Isles and Major Crimes, but I am eager for the fall lineup on my shows that are on hiatus: The Good Wife, How To Get Away with Murder, etc.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  9. I'm reading the Lavene's new book too. I can't resist their books. LOL And I meant to give myself a break this summer on reviewing and instead, find myself doing four or five a week. LOL I just couldn't pass up some some great reads.
