Sunday/Monday Posts - August 30th and 31st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

I've been gone for a few days.  We drove to Washington DC for a little vacation.  Saw some great sites and a had a nice time.  Exhausting, but a nice, much needed vacation.  Now, I'm back :)

As usual, I'm finding myself falling behind on my reviews.  What else is new?  I'm sure everyone is in the same boat, but that seems to be the life of a blogger :)

I'm still listening to the Agatha Raisin series, but I'm no longer going to post reviews of each one.  They are pretty similar and I don't really have much more to say about them.  I just enjoy listening to them in the car and hearing how the characters grow.

Summer TV is wrapping up and Fall TV is about to start.  I'm not sure if I'm even looking forward to the new TV season because that takes away from my reading time.  LOL

I'm looking forward to next week and a three day holiday weekend.  That should be fun even if I don't do anything except read :)

Other than that, not much going on around here.  I hope everyone has a great week!

Yvonne

  1. Yay for vacation! DC has a lot to do and see. I read while I watch TV but I know many people don't.

Enjoy your week and your reading!

  3. It's always nice to have books that you enjoy, even if you don't review them- with familar characters. It's fun to see them grow & change. And I don't know what I'll be watching- I'm so used to Netflix I hardly waych regular TV anymore!

    Have a great week!

  4. Vacation time is wonderful! Enjoy! I don't really have the same relationship with holidays, now that I'm retired, but I am happy for those still working.

I am pondering whether or not to keep reviewing EVERY book I read...with 1300 reviews posted on Amazon, it could be that I have had enough...LOL.

But old habits die hard. Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  5. I love DC but a vacation there is definitely not relaxing! I think the last time we were there between the museums and seeing the site we walked miles and miles.I can understand not wanting to review every single book of the Agatha Raisin series. I've started reviewing books from older series together just because my thoughts are pretty similar about each book but I can only figure out how to say certain things a limited number of times! Have a great week!
