Sunday/Monday Posts - September 13th and 14th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

I think I bit off more than I can chew this month! LOL I started reading several cozies at once, but it wasn't my intention. I noticed I had deadlines and had to stop reading some and jump to others. I hate that. I'm the type of person who can only read one book at once, plus listen to an audio in the car. That's the extent that my brain can concentrate on at one time :) Now, I'm juggling three books. Plus, they are all sooooooooooooooooooooooo good...not a bad one in the bunch, so I don't want to stop any of them. I think I need to clone myself! How many books can you read at once? Do you read more than one? Different genres? My three are all the same genre so it gets even a bit more confusing for me.

All the books you see in my upcoming reads are for blog tours I scheduled through October. I'm hoping I can squeeze in a book or two that aren't for tours, but I'm thinking I won't have time. We'll see.

Fortunately, my summer TV shows have pretty much come to an end so I have a bit more reading time. Of course the fall TV shows are fast approaching and I'll lose reading time again.

The good thing is as I said above - they are all really good books so it's not that much of a hardship to be reading them :)

So, what was your week like?

Have a great week everyone!

Yvonne

  1. All of your current reads are good? Lucky lady! I have juggled 3 at a time but prefer 2. I typically have a print book and a Kindle book going simultaneously.

Have a good weekend and make time to read a non-tour book!

  2. I prefer to read one at a time, but can do two. Three I might sturggle with. :)

Beeline to Murder looks fun, and I'll definitely tune in for your thoughts on Guaranteed to Bleed, as I'm awaiting that one and liked the first one a lot!

  3. It's one at a time for me - reading anyway. And then I can also be listening to one. Good luck with your juggling! LOL

  4. I can read two at a time, and always do, but by that I mean that I have 2 chosen and start both and then finish off one and go back to the other. Basically it's because I'm a mood reader or have attention issues :) I don't simultaneously read 2 together though, so good luck with your juggling...

Black Cat Crossing looks cute to me. Enjoy your week, and I'm also getting ready for my Fall shows to start. You were the one, I believe, who got me hooked on Scandal :)

  5. Great books! I usually only read 2 at a time but, good for you for all the multi-tasking! My new job is seriously interfering with my reading schedule. Have a good week!

  8. Yeah, I brought in more books for September than I should have. At least yours are all good.

  9. My book budget is gronaing agin! Look at all of those lovelies! LOL I'm reviewing Be My Banshee this coming Friday. Had such fun. I love those two authors! I am reading at least three books right now. Two are cozies and ones a thriller. It does get confusing but not too much as each writer has a distinctive style of writing. It's the characters I get confused on sometimes.

  10. It is hard when you get bogged down like that. I was in a funk this week and actually had 3 books and an audio going..lol

  11. I do tend to read 3 at once - an audio, a print, and an ebook - but I try to mix up the genres on the books or I'd get really confused too. Right now I've got 4 books going - an audio, a print book (actually Peril by Ponytail which I see you're reading as well), and 2 ebooks. 1 ebook is really creepy so I read a little bit of that and than read a chapter of a romance before I go to sleep otherwise the creepy book would mess with me. Have a great week!

  17. I try very hard to read one book at a time. I don't spend enough time in the car to listen to an audiobook there. You do have a bunch of nice looking books in your stack. Here is my Monday Report. Happy reading!

  18. I can read two books at once, but they need to be different genres.
    Happy reading!
