Sunday/Monday Posts - October 11th and 12th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

We're having lovely fall weather here in New York.  I so love this time of year.  It's so pretty.  Plus it's a three day holiday weekend for me.  Monday is Columbus Day in the US.  So, I get an extra reading/TV day :)  What more could I want?

I've had a busy week on the blog - a couple of blog tours and I finished a couple of books.  It's all about the cozy mysteries for me for the next few weeks.  Eventually I will get back to reading some romances too :)

I just finished reading Faux Paw by Sofie Kelly.  I will be posting my review later in the week along with a giveaway.  What's really exciting is that a quote from one of my reviews is on the back cover and one is on the inside.  I've had that happen before, but it's always fun to see the quotes on published books.

As for my TV viewing, I'm really behind right now but I'm slowly catching up.  I've been loving Chicago PD lately and Chicago Fire starts next week, then we get a new show Chicago Med.  These three will be really good together.  I'm also enjoying Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder.  I watched the premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel.  There was sure alot going on with that show. I'm not quite sure about it just yet but it will be a good Halloween show to watch :)  Bones is back and I enjoyed the season premiere of that too.  So much to watch, so much to read and very very very little time.  LOL

So, what's been going on with you this week?  I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  3. That is awesome about the quotes! It sounds like you're having a lovely fall. Our leaves have started to change and we've had a few days in the 70s so it kind of feels like fall. I'm right with you on the so much to watch and so much to read! Have a great week!

  7. Enjoy those cozies and the day off. We don't get it off this year, instead we can add a day to our vacation or take an extra personal day.

  8. I'm reading A Dickens Of A Murder right now. I love the authors and never pass up on one of their books. Lots of lovely cozies this week. I'm reading more of the genre than any other right now too.

  10. I'm interested to read or review of Knock on Wood. I found a lot of it far-fetched, an I guessed the killer before the murder even happened. I was excited to read it because of the superstition aspect, and was very disappointed.

  11. Oh yes Yvonne, a few cozy mysteries there.... They'll be perfect as you head into winter.

I'm excited that a heap of new stuff has just started on TV here too, so can't wait!
