Sunday/Monday Posts - June 15th and 16th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Father's Day Sunday to all the Dads out there!

We had a rainy week, but the weekend has been beautiful and the sun is shining.  It's back to feeling like summer again.  I'm a happy camper :)

The nicer weather seems to have me reading more.  You would think bad weather would do that, but it turns out it's the nice weather for me :)  Then again, I love reading anytime.

I attended a NetGalley webinar this week and it was interesting.  Even though I've been on NetGalley for a couple of years now, it's always nice to get some helpful hints.  I just wish I didn't go so crazy when I first joined NetGalley and requested so many.  It's hard trying to get my feedback ratio rate to go up because of that.  I'm trying very hard to get a handle on this and I think I'm making headway.

I will be participating in the Midsummer's Eve Giveaway Hop this year.  It starts on Saturday and I should have a few cozies to giveaway.  I'm not sure which ones yet.

I hope everyone is having a great summer and reading many, many good books!

Have a great week!

Yvonne

Tuesday:  Blog Tour:  Maltipoos Are Murder by Jacqui Lane (Review/Giveaway)

Saturday:  Midsummer's Eve Giveaway Hop

I finished reading...

I'm currently reading...

These books are still on my schedule for June (although a few will go into July, I'm sure).  All these schedules look so nice, but rarely do I end up following them.  And, yes, I still have Murder at Honechurch Hall to read and I really, really want to get to it soon.  LOL

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?

  1. I am trying to keep Netgalley to five books at any one time though its so tempting to request them all! I like your book covers. Very enticing

  3. I thought the webinar was really interesting. I learned quite a bit. Looks like you've got some great reviews coming up and the comment about Honeychurch Hall made me laugh. I won't fuss at you this week!

  5. I am staying away from NG until I have made a dent in my TBR pile...and will take forever

  6. I have managed to stay away from Netgalley because of a purely technical problem, which I'm not trying to fix because it makes me read the 300+ books I already have on my e-reader ! I'm glad to watch that pretty Honeychurch cover every week, it's like a window on a lovely landscape ;) Have a great week !

  7. These all look sooo good! I couldn't get the Netgalley books to download properly on my Kindle...and maybe it's just as well! Too many books already.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  9. Murder at Honeychurch Hall seems to be quite good, from what I've seen of reviews. And I should really get on Netgalley, I have not taken the plunge yet. But maybe that's a good thing actually... :)

  10. I've stopped getting books through NG until I get caught up!

    Enjoy your books!

  11. I've missed the seminars because I've been at work but they are available to watch and I need to do that. It is all too easy to go nuts requesting books; I'm working on getting my ratio back up.

You have some lovely looking books, I'm looking forward to your reviews.

  12. I attended the NG webinar last month, and I thought it was helpful too. I'm also trying to improve my percentage. It's not too bad, I guess.

  13. Thanks for stopping by yesterday. Mr grandsons kept us so busy I have no time to visit.
I am having the same problem with NetGalley. Those books and the ones from publishers seem to be creating an avalanche all the sudden :)

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
