Sunday/Monday Posts - February 22nd and 23rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I've been away from the blog this week...or at least away from the memes.  We went away for a few days and I didn't have Internet access.  We just wanted to get away for a couple of days and chill out...which is easy enough to do since it's been so cold everywhere.  We didn't have a chance to go anyplace warm.  We just went to the Jersey shore and even braved walking the board walk a little bit... very little!  Now we're home where the temps this morning were actually below 0 which is weird for us, but there are places much colder than here.  Of course we had a few more inches of snow (what else is new?).

Although I didn't do much blogging this week, I did have some blog tours and I have a full schedule for the coming week too.

As you can see from all my books below...March is mystery month for me.  While my reading preference is always mysteries, I usually have one or two other genres tossed in there.  When I put together this post, all those mystery covers stood out to me.  But...I do love them :)

I will try and travel the blogs this weekend.  I've fallen very far behind in everything, including commenting and visiting everyone's blogs.  Hopefully I can make up for that this week.

So, how was your week?

Yvonne

  5. The Jersey shore sounds wonderful, like something I would (and have) read about in a book. Sadly, I am on the opposite coast, so when I go, it's to places like Morro Bay or Cayucos. LOL

Sounds like a nice getaway...I need one, although my post-retirement life feels like a getaway of sorts, doing what I want when I want. For the most part.

Enjoy your new books...they look tempting. And thanks for visiting my blog.

  6. I like those cover, especially Bringing in the Thieves and The Deep End. I'll have to remember to come by on Thursday and check your review, the cover alone makes me want to read that one.

The Jersey shore sounds great, although I'll bet it wasn't exactly a summer walk. :) A few more months maybe... have a super week.

  7. Oh, Unbelievable looks adorable and that title, Cat Man Deux, cracks me up. I can see I'll be heading over to Amazon!

The weather was bitter here on the coast but today it's sunny, in the 70s, and I have the windows open. The AC came on! Yikes. LOL Probably because it's sticky humid.

    Enjoy your fun new reads.

  10. Yay for mystery month! I'm looking forward to that as mysteries are my favorite genre. A getaway sounds lovely despite the weather being cold. And the below zero temperatures sound as awful as your vacation sounds nice! Have a great week!

  16. So many cute book covers, so little time!!!

I'm thinking of having a bit of a digital detox myself this week. Well, from certain things - social media etc for eg.

    Have a great week!

  17. I've been more and more inclined to read mysteries/thrillers, these days, spring coming, time to change a little ?... I love that "Borrowed crimes" cover, some of my coworkers from the net drive a library-bus and I would so much love to drive and meet readers in the country :) Have a great week !

  18. Yea for all your cozy mystery books. I am loving reading them, but have other genres in the wings too. We haven't had a getaway in a long while, but will head to Phoenix in mid March. That should help these old bones thaw! Have a good week.
