Sunday/Monday Posts - June 18th and 19th (Happy Father's Day!)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

A very Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.  I can't believe my own dad has been gone for two years.  Not a day goes by when I don't think about him.  He will be in our hearts forever.

Now onto Sunday stuff...

The weather started out nice this week, but ended with rain.  Now, it's just cloudy and feels swampy out there.  I did manage to get in my first day at the beach this season.  Summer doesn't officially start until Tuesday.

Until I started putting this post together, I didn't realize how busy I've been.  I've had a number of blog tours, spotlights, Book Blasts, etc. etc.  It's fun, though.  I, also, didn't realize how many books I have to read coming up...they all look good, though.  Looks like I'm going to have a busy summer, but reading good books is never a bad thing :)  I seem to be mixing up my genres a bit.  I still primarily read cozy mysteries, but romances, romantic suspense and thrillers are working their way into my line up as well.

I've been binge-watching Grace & Frankie on Netflix.  I didn't realize what a good show it is.  I'm almost finished with season two.  I think there are only three seasons available.  I'm not sure it's a show that is going to be continuing.  I'll have to look to see.  I think we might try binging on The Wire.  I've heard alot about that show.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Yvonne

  3. Love the looks of some of the books you've posyed. Sorry about your dad. It does make Father's Day a tad sadder. Mine Dad passed almost 4 years ago. In a way it seems longer and in some ways it doesn't seem that long ago at all.

  12. Wow! You have been busy! I like mixing up genres too and lately I've been a little more deliberate about it. It seems to keep the slumps away a bit better. You've got a lot of great books coming up and we have quite a bit of crossover on our lists. Have a great week!
