The Weekend Review - November 4th-6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Some good news on the medical front.  I won't be needing surgery.  I just need to follow up in six months with another CT scan.  I'm very relieved, to say the last.  I want to thank you all for your good wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts.  It all worked!

Now I can plan to get back to blogging.  I'll be doing some memes that I was participating in before and I'll be doing more blog tours again.  The tours will probably be more like starting in December or January after the holidays.

I'll be setting up my 2024 reading challenge sign ups in the next few weeks.  I hope you'll join in.

One thing I'm uncertain of is whether to restart my First Chapter Tuesdays book memes.  There didn't seem to be much participation.  Is anyone still interested in this?

So, how has everyone been?  Reading or watching anything good lately?  I hope everyone has a great week!

Saturday:  Review:  The Wishing Bridge by Viola Shipman (Blog Tour)

Posts last week:

Nothing this week!

I'm currently reading...

I finished reading ...

This is my line up for the rest of November.  These are really carryovers from previous month.  I should be able to finally catch up this month.  I'll add more books throughout the month.

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. One of my books this week was a kindle freebie, but I didn't actually mention it. I only take them if I'm really going to read them.

  5. Hurray! I'm delighted for you that you will not have to have surgery. What a relief!

I like the idea of First Chapter Tuesday. I like to do book intros on Friday though. I sometimes participate in a couple of others on Friday (though one, I think, is on a hiatus).

  9. It's great you won't have to have surgery. It's nice to get back to some normal routines. I tend not to do challenges that I am not hosting other than COYER. I put more time into reading.
