Sunday/Monday Posts - January 4th and 5th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy 2015!  The first Sunday/Monday post of the year!  Is everyone's year off to a good start?  Well, of course the year is only four days old so it might be a bit early to tell yet :)

I decided to read a book that's been on my Kindle for a year waiting for me.  It's called Christmas on Mimosa Lane by Anna DeStefano.  She's a "new-to-me" author and it's the first book in the city.  I think I was originally attracted to the cover.  It's so pretty and the book is good too :)  After I finish this one, then it's a tour book for me which looks good by Christa Nardi.  Since I was having a hard time listening to the audio of Gone Girl, I decided to stop listening and just wait to read the book.  So, now I'm listening to Yes, Please by Amy Poehler.  Much more enjoyable and easier to listen to.

It's been a quiet week for me, but work starts again on Monday so things will start getting crazy again.  I hope to be able to read as much, if not more, than I did last year but who knows what the year will bring?

I hope everyone has a great week and read many great books!

Yvonne

  3. That cover on In Hot Water is different. It feels like a middle grade book to me just from that - maybe younger, since it makes me think of Thomas the Tank Engine.
My husband returns to work tomorrow too. I will miss him being home everyday. It's almost been like what it will be like when he retires. Almost. My Sun Post: http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/2015/01/sunpo-1-4-15.html

  4. In Hot Water looks tempting...enjoy all of your books, and thanks for sharing.

I hope you like reading Gone Girl...I am not one for audio, but lots of people enjoy it. I think I'd have a hard time following it...I'm more of a visual person.
