Sunday/Monday Posts - July 26th and 27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Hello Everyone,

I can't believe how fast the summer is going.  Time is just flying.  Our weather has been really nice.  Warm, but not too humid.  Although we have had a couple of humid days.  Nothing to complain about, though, as far as the weather goes.

I'm still not participating in book memes yet.  I will get back to it but for now I'm reading and hosting blog tours and many, many giveaways.  I didn't realize how many I scheduled.

I redid my reading list to accommodate all the upcoming tours.  Some books that had been on my reading list had to be pushed off.  I'll eventually get to those too.

I've also been catching up on TV.  I'm enjoying the new summer show Zoo.  It's based on the book by James Patterson, one of my favorite authors who I haven't read in awhile.  It's an interesting show.  Stephen King's Under the Dome is back.  I really want to read that book, but I'm enjoying the show.  Other shows I'm enjoying this summer - Extant, Complications, Murder in the First, The Last Ship, Cedar Cove, and I know I'm leaving others out.

I'm a huge General Hospital fan and it's farewell to Tony Geary month.  Monday is his last official air date.  It's hard to believe since it feels like I've been watching him as Luke Spencer forever.

I still have some giveaways going on, so you still have a chance to enter and win a book.  Click on the giveaway button on my sidebar to see what giveaways are still running.

So, what have you all been up to?

Yvonne

  1. Tony Geary has been playing Luke for ages and ages. I used to watch that show in college and we shall not talk about how long ago that was. Luke and Laura - what a duo. :-)

  2. I've been curious about Zoo. The promo looks good. I've been watching the 100 but that's about it- I need some new shows.

We've had nice weather too. And Death of an English Muffin looks good- seems like I saw a review of that one somewhere, and it was positive. Have a nice weekend.

  4. Enjoy your books! I have been ogling The Cake Therapist for a while, and Death of an English Muffin looks very appealing, too.

As you know, I am a big GH fan...and I'm loving how Luke's exit has launched some other interesting storylines.

Fan of Murder in the First as well.

Enjoy! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  5. Death of an English Muffin looks so fun and Victoria Hamilton is definitely an author I've been wanting to try. I've been seeing the GH promos about Luke's leaving. He's been on the show for as long as I can remember. I can imagine it'll be strange without him. Have a great week!

  6. Sigh, I just want to come raid your bookshelves.

I can't believe Geary is leaving GH; he's been there, 30? 40? years? A really long time. :D

    Have a great week!

  8. I haven't been able to get into Zoo but glad you're enjoying it.

I like the idea of the Cake Therapist. Wonder if they exist in real life?! ;-)

  9. I'm so addicted to cozies and all these new ones are straining my book budget! LOL I decided that this year I would try to read and review as books as possible for the tours I sign up for. I can't believe how many I've done already with so many more to come. I need to concentrate on review requests too! So many wonderful new authors and books:)
