The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Happy Sunday!
After a miserable week weather-wise last week, we are expecting a nice week this week. Temps near 80's. I'm looking forward to that. All the rain we've been getting has been kind of depressing. It's nice to see the sun shining.
As always, I'm reading some good books. I'm happy to say that I stayed away from NetGalley and Edelweiss this week. I can't promise about next week, though. LOL Both sites are just way too addicting.
I've been catching up with my TV shows and I still have a ways to go. One of my favorite shows is the Bates Motel which is based on the old Hitchcock movie Psycho. Bates Motel is coming to an end, but I decided to re-watch the movie. The movie is excellent and I realized I never actually saw the whole movie. I've always just seen bits and pieces of it over the years. What a great movie, but it was a bit anti-climatic since I knew the ending. Anyway, I love everything about the Psycho franchise from the TV show to all the movies that followed. The TV show has some excellent actors involved.
Not too much going on around here. I'm looking forward to the nice weather and looking forward to all the good books on my list :)
Have a great week everyone!
Yvonne

I have finally caught up on my shows! Fiiiinally
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I've ever seen the whole Psycho movie! But I do remember that shower scene.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about A Stone's Throw.
Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I love Bates Motel as well. As sad as I am for it to end, I think this year is the best season yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly caught up on shows and started watching The Son last night. It's okay so I'll probably follow it. We had some rain but got lucky and the worst stayed north and east of us. Beautiful today and already was in the pool. A bit too cold still but the water will warm up quick with the pretty week ahead.
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
YES! The weather is really looking up this week! I actually don't mind the rainstorms too much, but I'd much rather have the 80-degree weather. SO EXCITED!
ReplyDeleteAll of your additions are new to me! I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Yvonne!
Have a fabulous week. =)
Check out my STS post!
Hmmm...I've never seen Bates Motel, but it sounds interesting! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
I haven't seen Bates Motel yet. And our weather was the same- it rained ALL week, on and off, night and day lol. And then it got nice yesterday, and 70's today.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a super week.
We had two days of sunshine in a row! It has slowly been getting warmer. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to catch up on review books. They seem to be coming in faster than I can read them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm a scaredy-cat when it comes to scary movies. Ironically 2 of 3 of my children love the scary movies! Looks like you've got a couple of good cozy mysteries coming up. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI gave up on ARCs and eGalleys a few years ago. They were all consuming and stressful. I'm posting while on my road trip, thanks to my trusty smart phone. It's Monday! What are your reading?
ReplyDeleteYes staying away from NetGalley and Edelweiss sure helps! I have cut back on them and only visit sometimes and make sure they are books I really want to read. That said sometimes I weaken and accept a book possibly that I shouldn't!
ReplyDeleteThe Mrs. Odboddy book looks cute.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your week.
