The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
Yikes! Is January really almost over? For those in the northeast, I hope you are all safe from the storm. I remember very well the days of two feet of snow. My old neighborhood seems to have gotten the high end of the snow. Here in Florida, temps are low in the 50's and very windy. It's certainly 100% better than what everyone else is going through.
I read 11 books in January which is high for me. I knew I was reading more this month. I hope February will be equally as good.
Not many regular shows on this week, but I've become hooked on a new Netflix show. It's called The Woman Next Door to the Girl in the Window. There are only 8 episodes and I already watched 4. They are only half hour episodes. I was surprised at how good it was. I also watched the Ray Donovan movie which wrapped up the loose ends from the series which abruptly ended. It was good, but a little disappointing to me. Recently they wrapped up the old Dexter series and I was disappointed in the wrap up with that one too. Maybe it's best to not to have closure after all.
Other than that, it's been a quiet week for me. I hope you all have a great week. Stay warm and stay safe!

The combination of Louise Penny and HRC sounds so intriguing — a lot of people have been reading it. I might just have to read it too.
ReplyDeletebest… mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I think I need to look for The Woman Next Door to the Girl in the Window. We tend to like a limited series best.
ReplyDeleteState of Terror sounds like it would be very good. I bet the authors had fun writing it together.
I hope you are enjoying State of Terror.
ReplyDeleteI added The Woman Next Door to the Girl in the Window...and may start watching today.
Enjoy your week! Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
Canyons, Caravans, and Cadavers is such a cute title and I love the cover of it! I guess since you've experienced the two feet of snow that you think your fellow Floridians who wear coats when it is 50 degrees are crazy? When it warms up to 50 degrees here I can't wait to leave my coat in the car this time of year. lol I've heard of that Netflix show, it sounds good! Have a great week!

I have been hearing about the cold weather in Florida. I have some friends on vacation there right now. It is a bit disappointing for them, but as you said, there is lots of worse weather around.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good reading month. Hope February is just as good!
LOL - that cat on Jousting and Justice cover :-) Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteWe started that show yesterday, on episode 3. So far it is enjoyable! You have so many good looking books in you upcoming reading! Have a great week! Stay warm ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, it's cold here but SO much better than what I was used to in central NY! I've heard good things about the book Hilary and Louise Penney co-authored... hope you enjoy it, too.
ReplyDeleteNew books are so fun, and Kindle freebies are the best! I hope you enjoy all of these. Have a great week! https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/01/stacking-shelves-8sunday-post-5.html
ReplyDeleteWe got lucky with only 5 inches of snow. I was disappointed in Dexter and Ray Donovan too. XO
ReplyDeleteYou had a great month of reading. I'd like to read STATE OF TERROR, too. Though it seems like other books keep pushing it out of the way. Sigh. My Sunday Salon
ReplyDeleteI saw an ad for that Woman.... Netflix show and am totally going to check it out when I finally get control of one of our TV's (which is hard this weekend!) 11 books is great for January! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
ReplyDeleteThat's cold for Florida. Well done with reading in January. Feb of course is a little shorter but hopefully still good for reading!!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Louise Penny, but somehow have hesitated so far in trying this one not sure why actually. How is it?

I am currently watching The Woman Next Door to the Girl in the Window too. But I am not sure how I feel about it. I will talk about it once I watch it fully. I hope you have a great week ahead.

State of Terror is on my wish list! Enjoy balmy weather in Florida. It's pretty cold in the midwest right now and I'm happy I don't live in the NE!
ReplyDeleteNice looking books and nice sounding weather - at least when compared to Northern Minnesota. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThe Netflix show looks interesting! Murder Faux Paws and The Wrong Victim are both on my TBR. Have a great week!
