The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
Another quiet week for me. I finished three books this week and even managed to write their reviews. I'm trying to keep up with this stuff and, so far, I'm off to a good start in 2022. But, the year is young :)
It's hit and miss with my TV shows...some are on, some not yet. I did watch the series finale of the new Dexter sequel. I won't say anything since I don't want to give anything away.
I decided to go back to keeping a handwritten journal of books I read this year. I used to do that but I've been relying on Goodreads. I'll still keep up with that, but I think it's a good idea to have a handwritten one too...just in case anything happens. I always like organnizing my books so this is fun to me.
Not much else is happening here. I hope you all have a great week. Stay warm and stay safe!

I'm currently reading...
I'm looking forward to watching the new Dexter. I'm currently rewatching all of the previous seasons with my husband (he's never seen them) so it will be a while. :)
ReplyDeleteI've thought about keeping a book journal! I know I wouldn't write in it, though. I'm not great at keeping Goodreads and my spreadsheets up to date. I think a journal would just become another thing I neglect. :)
ReplyDeleteI need to get back to my handwritten book journal too!

Good rich people sounds fabulous. I'll probably have a little bit more time to read today inbetween improv, so I'll give it a go.
ReplyDeleteYour books have such interesting covers!
ReplyDeleteI keep track of my books on my Curl up and Read blog. I also have lists on Goodreads, but I don't trust it. I know, freaky. But they often list books as "read" when I haven't read them. I'm not sure what that's about, but that is why I don't participate in their challenges.
Enjoy your books and your week...and your shows!
Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
I have my planner that I keep track of blogging and my reading in. Along with Goodreads. I forget sometimes if I don't physically write stuff. Have a great week!

I also used to have a handwritten journal for all the books I've read. But I have been using Goodreads for the last couple of years. It will take me forever to "catch up" , but it might be worth it!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are keeping with it this year so far, I am still reading books from last year so I'm already behind! LOL!!
Have a good week Yvonne.

I've heard such good things about the Cat in the Stacks series, I need to give it a try. I have always kept a written log of my books - like you I find it fun.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
Well done on making such a good start to 2022 in your reading and reviewing, Yvonne! 😃 I am well behind on my reviews from last year! 😅 Take care and happy reading.
ReplyDeleteI hated Dexter's ending this time as well. Sigh, how could they do it bad twice? Stay safe. Have a great week ahead!

A lot of pretty covers! I hope you enjoy all of these when you get a chance to read them. Have a great week! https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/01/stacking-shelves-6sunday-post-3.html
ReplyDeleteI was really, really glad that I had posted my reviews electronically, because I was able to copy and paste all my old ones into Goodreads. I like keeping up with my reads there. Of course it is always possible we could lose all of that!
ReplyDeleteFinishing three books makes for a great week!
I think nothing sells a book like a cat on the cover.
Your journal idea sounds good. I should do that. I feel like I've sorta lost track of my thoughts on my reads, since I haven't been using Goodreads as much. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea to keep a journal of books read. I read an online spoiler before I watched Dexter which was stupid of me. I was not happy with the ending.
ReplyDeleteI rely on Goodreads big time, but a journal does sound good. I find though I keep up with GR and if I tag them right I find out enough, but not completely! Got sidetracked as Leeanna Morgan is a local lady here, was a librarian who turned herself to writing and seems to do well. I haven't read her though
ReplyDeleteA handwritten journal sounds like a nice idea. I use Goodreads and an Excel spreadsheet. I guess living with a spreadsheet guru has its advantages.
ReplyDeleteLove the cover on File M for Murder. I picked up some Kindle freebies this week, too.
Hope you enjoy your books.

Same here, trying hard to keep up with reviews!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite paranoiac as for reading lists, I keep track on paper, goodreads, and google doc (now 2 tables), and I decided to do a more visual colorful simple recap on a dotted journal. Crazy, you are right.

I keep track of my reading on a Google spreadsheet, LibraryThing and Goodreads. I'd probably lose a handwritten journal. Nice looking books this week! Come see my week here. Happy reading!
