This week's question...
Now that summer is here (in the northern hemisphere, anyway), what is the most “Summery” book you can think of? The one that captures the essence of summer for you?
(I’m not asking for you to list your ideal “beach reading,” you understand, but the book that you can read at any time of year but that evokes “summer.”)
My answer...
I love books that have a summery feel. When it's winter, I like books with a wintery feel. Since we are in summer now, many of my summer books are on top of my TBR pile. Doesn't mean I will necessarily read them this summer, but I'm going to try. Three books that are on top of the TBR...

I'm not even sure why I like summer reading so much since I don't get anymore reading time in the summer than I do the rest of the year. Maybe it just makes me feel like I'm always on vacation. LOL These three books, although I haven't read them yet - just going by titles and covers - can be read at anytime of the year and you'd feel like it was summertime. At least that's the way it appears.
How about you? Any books that make you feel like summer?

I absolutely adore Jane Green books. They are my light reads for holidays.
ReplyDeleteThis year I too have been very slow in reading!
ReplyDeleteHeatwave reading
Love the cover of One Reckless Summer!
ReplyDeleteThose sue look summery, would be nice to sit outside reading them..not today though, I am melting away
ReplyDeleteHmmm....not sure what I would say is a summer read on my stacks right now. I do tend to read much thicker books in the fall, so I guess that's one difference in seasons. :) I just finished The Bright Side of Disaster by Katherine Center which was a very light read.
