Musing Mondays - Library Books

Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about library borrowing…

Do you restrict yourself on how many books you take out from the library at a time? Do you borrow books if you already have some out? Do you always reborrow books you don’t get to?

I don't restrict myself for anything! LOL! Seriously, I don't take out many books from the library. I take out mostly DVDs and audio books. I take out whatever I want when I see it available and hope I'm able to renew them. You can renew if there's nobody else with the items on hold. Otherwise, I end up putting alot of pressure on myself to watch or listen to everything before the deadline.


One of the reasons I don't take out books to read from the library is because the deadlines put too much pressure on me to finish the book. If I own the book, I can read it whenever I want. It's always waiting for me :)

    I love getting audio books from the library. Sure beats the price of buying them.

    If I ever start listening to audio books, I'll have to keep the library in mind.

    I am ashamed to say that I haven't been to my local library in a couple of years at least. I tend to buy or trade books.

    I won't check out a lot of books at a time because of that time pressure thing. But at least I can re-check it out if I need more time!

    When we lived in Ohio I would check out dvd's all the time but here in Utah we have to pay to rent the dvds. It is only a quarter but for some reason I have a problem with paying a quarter to the library!

    I don't have too much trouble with the deadlines as we can renew our books up to 5 times online. So I usually have my books for a long time.

    Books that aren't of top priority I check out from the library. I buy the ones I want to keep .

    I'm beginning to use the library more and more. I typically don't check out more than 4 at a time.

    I've never listened to an audio book but would love to when I walk on my treadmill.
