Sunday/Monday Posts - May 4th and 5th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

A new meme I'm linking to is Stacking The Shelves and it's hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Sunday and Monday Everyone!

I hope you are all having the lovely weather we are having here this weekend...the sun is shining and even the flowers are blooming.

I've been busy on my blog lately and I'm going to try and get around to commenting on other blogs as well.

This month I am participating in the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge.  I chose ten books that were requested for reviews - some are scheduled for blog tours in May and others were author/publisher/ publicist/NetGalley/Edelweiss requests.   I wish I could do more than the ones I have on the list, but at least it's better than none :)  It still amazes me how far behind I got on ARCs.   NetGalley and Edelweiss are extremely dangerous.  LOL

May is also TV season finale month, so somehow I have to squeeze all my finales in - Castle, Bones, Revenge, Once Upon A Time, Grey's Anatomy, Elementary, Survivor, Criminal Minds, NCIS, NCIS: LA, and Person of Interest (I'm forgetting a few others too).   Plus a couple of new shows including one of my all time favorites 24 with Kiefer Sutherland.  Can't wait for that...only two more days.

I just finished watching Grudge Match with Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro.  That was good.  Next on my list is Saving Mr. Banks.  That looks great.

So, what have you all been up to?  Reading anything good?  Seeing any good TV or movies?

Yvonne

I finished reading...

I'm currently reading...

Since I am participating in the Clean Sweep ARC Reading Challenge in May, I had to adjust my reading schedule.  Some are carryovers and others are new to my reading list (although not new to my review request list). How To Moon A Cat is from my own collection and not an ARC, but I have to try and squeeze that one in too :)  This is extremely ambitious of me :)

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?

  2. Oh, Saving Mr. Banks. I want to see that.

You have an ambitious list for your challenge but you can do it!

I'll be watching many of the same season finales as you. We should watch TV together some time. :D

  3. Oh, so many books and so little time! I have eight ARCs right now that I just received in the last couple of weeks, so I must get busy reading them. It is hard to turn down books that look so good! I am curious about Hanging by a Hair.

Enjoy your spring...we had a lovely week...and today I enjoyed having lunch on the patio of a bistro I like.

Thanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week.

  8. While I'm not participating in the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge, I will still be reading lots of review books. I do hope to fit one or two of my own books in soon. I have been avoiding NetGalley and Edelweiss until my review stack was lower but they are both so tempting. Come see what I got this week at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
