Sunday/Monday Posts - October 5th and 6th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews

Happy Sunday and Monday!

I hope everyone had a good week.  It's been a long one for me.  Work has been crazy and my blog has been busy too.  My calendar for October is pretty much filled.  I have some giveaways coming up next week.  New cozies are coming out this week!

Last week I mentioned possibly adding guest reviewers to my blog, but I've decided against that.  I started the blog because I love to read and review.  I don't want to make this into anything more complicated than me just reading and posting when I want to.  So, that's what I'll do.  I love all the memes I participate in, so I'm going to stick with those.  I will still do blog tours now and then.  I will just be more choosey of what I review and what tours I participate in.  I would just prefer to keep everything on this blog stuff that I post myself.

On the TV front - I'm so disappointed that the new Dallas was canceled.  I hope another network picks it up.  So far, I've lost Longmire and Dallas.  Two shows I enjoyed very much.  Not that I don't have a ton of other shows to watch, but I really did love both of them.

I'm hoping for a quiet week to catch up on my reading and TV viewing, but I tend to think it's impossible.  I'll try though!  I hope everyone has a great week!

Yvonne

  1. I was sad about Dallas too. :(

Being more choosey is a good idea, especially if it can reduce your stress.

A Midwinter's Tail looks cute, I hope you enjoy it.

  2. I'm not sure about doing guest post either. You do what you have to do to make your blog special. :)

  4. Here's to a quiet week! I like a lot of the cozies coming out, I don't read a ton but I like looking at them- the covers and punny titles, and my wife reads them occasionally. A Midwinter's Tail looks great, I'm thinking of trying that one for the HoHoho readathon coming up... hopefully you'll review it for us. :)

  5. Dallas was cancelled? How can they do this? Are they just on a seasonal break?

I loved this reboot, as much as the original. What is wrong with them?

Rant over...hope you enjoy your week. Thanks for visiting my blog, and it makes sense to only post what you want to post.

  8. I hadn't heard that Dallas was cancelled! That's too bad. I really enjoyed the ones I saw. It seems like so many good shows get cancelled. I think being more choosy is a great decision and I look forward to seeing what you read. Have a great week!

  9. I didn't watch this Dallas, but I do get annoyed when shows aren't given a chance to prove themselves.
A Midwinter's Tale has a cute cover and sounds like a fun read, and timely for the upcoming season. Enjoy all your books and hope next week is quieter for you.

  10. I completely understand your decision to not feature guest writers - glad you're getting clarity around what you want.

Interested by the Nora Roberts - I love her JD Robb books but read her others ONLY if there's a touch of mystery etc.
