The Weekend Review - November 17th - November 19th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

We had our first snow storm of the season and what a mess it was!  It was only about two inches, but the roads were a mess and there were so many accidents.  Fortunately, I didn't need to go anywhere but my husband did.  Everyone here is fine, though.  It was just such a fluke because a small storm like this never caused these many problems before.  I guess it just took everyone by surprise.  It's way too early for this!

Whenever I write these weekly wrap up posts I realize how much blogging I did.  I had posts everyday plus I prepared the reading challenges I'll be hosting in 2019.  I'm not going to join many other challenges, but there are few I enjoy each year that I'll be doing.  I can't seem to stay away from challenges.

I, also, can't seem to stay away from blog tours.  I joined more than I planned to for the next couple of months.  I guess I'm just addicted to doing blog tours, what can I say?  LOL  At least I'm reading good books :)

I finished reading and reviewing three books this week.  I still need to read more to complete my Goodreads challenge for 2018.  Hopefully I can do it.

Since I recently returned from vacation, I've been trying to keep up with the TV shows I missed while I was gone.  I still have a ways to go, but I'm getting there.

I really can't believe this week is Thanksgiving.  I wish you all a great holiday for all those celebrating.

I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. Wow, you did have a lot of blog posts. I'm impressed with all your blog tours, too. I haven't done any in years.

Enjoy the upcoming week, and stay safe in the snow.

  2. Uh oh. My book budget just went out the window. LOL Good to hear all is fine. That storm did catch many by surprise. We didn't have snow but it rained a lot and turned super cold here. I've been reviewing for tours all month but cutting back for December. And I'm just doing my usual tours again next year. I want to focus on all of the books I need to read and share.

  5. Congrats on getting so much blogging done. I struggle to get 4 posts a week written. I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is this week, either! This year went way too fast. Have a good week!

  8. Love the look of those cozies. We had about a foot of snow! But snow in November isn't unusual here.

  12. You had so much going on last week, even with the snow! I hope that you and your family remained safe and warm in the storm. We had our first snow fall of the season too. Although it wasn't too bad, I am just not a snow person.

    Here is my weekly update!

  13. This week has been a return to autumn, almost 60 and sunshine after cold rain and 40 last week. I feel energized. I planned a relaxing weekend at home but I seem to be busier than ever. I rarely watch tv, maybe a few times a year, because I'm reading or listening to audiobooks. Have a Happy Thanksgiving with all those new books and hopefully some time to read.
