The Weekend Review - November 9th - November 12th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I've been away for the last couple of weeks.  We were in Florida enjoying some sun and relaxation.  Now it's back to reality :)

I kept November a light blogging month since I knew we'd be away.  December is not so light, though.  LOL  I did manage to read a few books while I was away, but my TV viewing is now way behind.  I'm not sure I'll catch up in this lifetime, but I'll try :)

This week I plan to set up the reading challenges I've been hosting each year - Cruisin' thru the Cozies, What An Animal and The Purrfect Reading Challenge.  I'll also be joining a couple of challenges, but not as many as I did in the past.  There are a few I always enjoy doing.

Now that I'm back home, I have to get used to the colder weather.  I was just getting used to the warm high 80's temps of Florida.  Like I said, back to reality :)

Hope everyone had a good couple of weeks and I hope this is a good week for you too.

Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

These books are coming up for reviews and/or blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. I was in Florida too and came back to snow flurries! Have a great reading week.

  2. The books you've been reading look good...Let Her Go is now on my list.

Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog. Enjoy your week!

  3. Aw I'm glad you had a good time away! My family is all in Florida :)

  4. I'm glad you had a good vacation! Enjoy your new books, and welcome back!

  5. Lots of great mysteries this week. Have a great time reading. I got caught in some snow in central PA on Friday. That was fun. Have a good week.

  6. Florida would be a warmer place to go I am thinking! Never mind always nice to have TV to look forward to even if there is a lot!!

  7. curious to see what you think of Let Her go. My post is here:

  8. It is hard to get back into a routine after a vacation. I do envy you for spending time where it was warm. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  9. I'm glad you had a good trip to Florida. He days are warm where I live but the nights are getting cooler. I'd love to go north and see some snow, it's been a lot of years since I have.

Looks like you have some interesting reading coming up.

  10. I hope you had fun in Florida! It’s snowing here, so I’d rather be where there’s palm trees. Have a great week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  11. Enticing set of books as always. Have a good week. My weekly updates

  12. Some relaxing time in Florida sounds amazing! I think being behind is just the permanent state of being for most of us. So annoying! Enjoy your reading and I hope you're having a great week!

  13. My brother lives in Tampa and I can't get over that it's still around 80 there! In NC, we were rainy and around 40 all week. It broke yesterday and now it's sunny and back to 55-60, more like fall.

I also got the freebie Making Merry, along with some others for HoHoHoRAT this week. So many holiday romances. I have to collect more mysteries or something if I do this next year.

Cold weather is great for curling up and enjoying your books tho! Happy reading! Anne - Books of My Heart
