The Weekend Review - March 30th-April 1st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I've been away for a couple of weeks.  We had a nice, relaxing vacation and now I'm back :)  I managed to finish a few books during my time off.  That's always a good thing :)

Yesterday we had such beautiful weather and today is so dreary.  We are expecting rain later today, but that's okay.  I'm planning on being home to read and catch up on my TV shows.

Although I still have some NetGalley books to catch up on, I have cut back quite a bit on blog tours and review requests.  That has helped me alot.

I'm hoping to get around to other blogs today to comment.  I hope you are all having a great weekend and have a great week.

  2. Welcome back from vacation. We have had beautiful weather last few days and woke this morning to little snow on the ground and cold. Good for me gives me a chance to catch up on blogging and having a lazy reading day.

    Happy Reading

We had almost summery weather yesterday, but it's back to the winter greys again today

  5. I'm glad you had a good vacation. Now that we are retired, I find myself less likely to plan a real vacation, but I think we need to do that.

I love the cover on The Great Pretenders. I hope the story lives up to the beautiful cover.

  6. That mystery with the ice cream on the front just doesn't scream "mystery" to me! :-) Seeing the Danielle Steel brought back college memories for me. During senior year, one of my friends and I read to each other each night and Danielle Steel was a recurrent author.

  14. Good you got away for some holiday time. Yes to saying no to review books, takes the stress away from reading. Enjoy The Great Pretenders when you get to it. Looks interesting.

  17. Oh a relaxing vacation sounds heavenly! And I bet it was just what you needed! I'm trying to cut back on review books too and it's hard but definitely worth it. I've got The Missing Years coming up on my TBR and I'm really looking forward to it. Hope you're having a great week!
