The Weekend Review - March 2nd-4th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

Seems like these last few weeks of spring are going to be snowy ones.  I can't really complain since we didn't have much snow all winter, although its been cold.  Tomorrow night they are saying it will be a big one.  We'll see.  I wouldn't mind if they were wrong :)

I actually managed to finish a book this week :)  I read Healing Hearts by Sarah M. Eden - a new to me author which I really enjoyed.  It is also a book out of my normal genre.  My review will be posted on Monday.

I've pretty much given up on audio books.  Or at least fiction audio books.  I just can't seem to concentrate on them.  Memoir types might be best for me, so I'll try those.

Of course I couldn't resist picking up a few Kindle freebies :)

I'm slowly catching up on my TV shows but I'm trying to concentrate more on my books.

Other than that, everything is pretty much the same.  I hope everyone has a great week!

I will FINALLY be reading this one next...

Here are this week's Kindle freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

These books are coming up for reviews and/or blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. I hope you enjoy the new week...I managed to read three books this past week, more than usual...probably because I was warding off my anxieties about the hack and the aftermath.

Here are dd MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  2. I'm sorry audiobooks are working for you. You are having some changes with the new work and all the weather, maybe try later when there is less happening. I hope your reading is great this week! Anne - Books of My Heart

  3. You're having snow? We've been having the hottest February on record lol but right now we're suffering with Storm Freya.

I've got two separate posts for the memes - Stacking the Shelves and my Sunday Wrap Up Post.

Hope you're having a great weekend! Here's my Saturday Post and my Sunday Post! xx

  4. I haven't been dealing with audiobooks myself. I'm more invested in reading physical copies of books. Hope you have a great week!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

  5. I am surprised that snow's in the forecast! Hopefully spring will be here soon. Our weather has been rainy. Enjoy your reading, and have a great week ahead!

  6. I am glad you at least got to finish a book. We are supposed to get 6-8 inches of snow tonight :(

  7. I adore the titles of cozies! We got about 4 inches yesterday. More coming today and temperatures dipping into single digits. Sigh.

  8. I have trouble concentrating when reading audiobooks too. I need something in front of my eyes. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  9. Sounds like you are really looking forward to the Corned Beef and Casualties book. Hope its good, and that you get some snow. A little must be nice.

  10. I'm hoping winter will wind down here soon and the last of the big snowstorms is behind us. Have a super week!

  11. I have the same problem with audiobooks. I try really hard to pay attention to them, but my mind wanders. Have a good week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  12. I like MG fiction and cozy mysteries best for audiobooks. I listen to them while doing chores or when I'm working on art. My weekly updates.

  13. I'm struggling with reading right now between the allergies and everything else it just seems to drop to the bottom of the pile or I'm just too tired. I think you'll enjoy the Lynn Cahoon and it's a quick read. Hope you're having a great week!

  14. Yes, snow is everywhere! Sorry the audiobooks didn't work for you.

  15. My experience of audiobooks is limited, however, I've tried contemporary romance and failed miserably but have been loving fantasy books.
