The Weekend Review - February 1st-3rd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend! Happy Super Bowl Sunday and Happy Kitten Bowl Sunday!

For those football fans out there - I hope you enjoy the big game. I’m not a football fan, baseball is my sport, but I did find a fun sporting event to watch on Super Bowl Sunday - The Kitten Bowl! It's hosted by the Hallmark Channel. Actually it's on a few hours before the real Super Bowl, so you can watch both :) If you'd like to find out more info, click here.

I've been busy on the blog and busy reading. I haven't been watching many of my shows, but that's because I've been busy with other things like reading and blogging :)

I ended up reading 7 books in January. That's not many, but it's right on schedule for me. I've never been a fast reader, but I'm enjoying all my books so I'm happy :)

Not too much new is happening here. I continue unpacking and getting organized in my new house. We bought a couple of dressers that give me a little extra room. So now I can unpack even more :) With all the stuff I purged before we moved, I still have a lot of stuff that I took with me. I didn't realize how much until I saw all these boxes. Oh well, a little every day :)

I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  2. I'm no football fan either so I'm not going to be watching the game. Maybe this is a good evening to go out to the mall - maybe there won't be many people. lol

    Enjoy your reading!

  5. I'm so glad you mentioned the kitten bowl! I had forgotten about it but I think my son will love it. We played the Hallmark kitten and puppy thing that was on all day Christmas and had such fun with it. Have a great week!

  8. Doesn't the Kitten Bowl sound fun?! I'm not a football fan either so I completely missed everything about the Super Bowl.

Seven books in January is perfect, I think. I like how you are happy with your reads. I agree. That's what's important.

I hope you have a lovely week!

  9. Seven books in a month is great! One or two a week is my standard, but I'd definitely prefer to read a few great books versus a ton of mediocre!

  10. The Kitten Bowl sounds awesome, we wanted to watch the Puppy Bowl but we don't have cable so we missed it. :(

Hope you have a nice week!

  11. I was tempted by Witness Protection Widow, but as I am being really tough about review books I didn't choose it but ... later down the track - maybe.
