The Weekend Review - February 22nd-24th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

February is just flying by, isn't it?  This is way too fast for my liking :)

A busy blog week, but I only finished one book.  It was a cozy mystery in a new series and really good.  I just love my cozies and "first in a new series" are even more fun :)

I'm trying so hard to stay away from NetGalley and Edelweiss.  Do you guys have that problem?  Both are so addicting!  I want to stay away until I catch up a little, but it's way too tempting for me. How about  you?

I'm pretty caught up on TV and enjoying my shows.  Survivor is pretty good this year with the returning contestants.  I'm very happy baseball is back.  I always enjoy following my team.

So, what's been happening in your part of the world?  Anything exciting going on?  I hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  2. I love finding a good new cozy series, especially a great first book. And yes I can't believe how fast February is flying!

    He Started It looks fun!

  3. I signed up for Netgalley and Edelweiss but I've never gone to the site to request books. I think I was afraid I'd get lost in a sea of ebooks. Having physical books reminds me to read them.

This year is zipping past. It seems to be an odd phenomenon that life speeds up the older one grows.

    Have a lovely week.

  4. I’m staying away from Netgalley too, I ended up with way too many books scheduled for the first three months of this year because so many also unexpectedly showed up in the mail. #firstworldproblems LOL

Wishing you a great reading week

  7. It's such joy finding a new series. :)

I haven't been on Edelweiss in months but NetGalley...oh, that place is dangerous. :D

Happy reading and have a good week!

  8. I struggle with NetGalley and Edelweiss too. I'll do really well about staying away and then go on a binge and undo all my hard work! I love the Allison Brook series and really want to read Murder Makes Scents. Have a great week.

  9. The reason I haven’t joined any ARC sites is because I have no self-control. I’d request everything. I’m watching Survivor too! I didn’t watch last season, so I’m happy to be back into it. Have a great week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  10. I am being very "strong" about staying away from NG and E and not accepting every book offered. How long will it last! Loving the Sofie Ryan book.

  11. The cover that caught my attention was Kiwi Rules! Must have a look at that one!

  12. I closed my account on Edelweiss ages ago, but NetGalley... I've majorly pulled back from ARCs, which means I only have three in the queue at the moment. *rolls eyes at self*

Hope you have a great reading week!
